A new beta build will be deployed on beta realms soon. You will need to redownload the entire client (~20GB) as the beta patches so far have been merged back into the base install.

I...I had to have my boyfriend download the client while he was on hometime from trucking, because I'm on DSL. I guess...it was fun playing with you all while it lasted? I might be able to get back in eventually...but for now, it's the end of the beta road for me.

OH...well. At least I chose a good time to reformat my computer XD I need to redownload the beta anyway.

Yeah... this really sucks.
The download doesn't seem to bad for me... but I really wasn't expecting this and so I'm a bit sadface.

I WILL NOT SLEEP UNTIL THIS DOWNLOAD IS COMPLETE.

It takes...at least a day to download 1GB, here. So I'd be looking at the better part of a month, maybe two weeks if I'm lucky and hit closer to 2GB a day, and that's if I don't do anything else during that time span because the download would lag everything. :c I know I'm lucky to have DSL in a rural area, but...WTB broadband.

I really wish they didn't wait til friday night to launch a 20gig 'patch'. I can if I let it run be finished 'relatively' quickly in a couple days, but since it's a weekend and everyone's home I'm not going to be allowed to even touch the patch til monday at the earliest. Of course I don't expect Blizzard to adhere to my schedule, that would be crazy and stupid, but it's really really frustrating.

Agreed. It'll be at least a week until James is able to come visit, and that's if his company (or his father) doesn't pull any nasty little surprises to keep him away. While I really hope to see tamable rares this patch, I also wish I could be out there...looking, y'know?

My only hope of getting this done before a couple weeks is up is trying to find a way to throttle the download to something that won't lag everyone else to death. But I don't know if it's possible. ._.

The Internet part at the bottom is funny you know because we're kind of in the same boat you want broadband yet I wish we had adsl2+ here but we have some crappy 8000/384kbs which isn't all bad but it's not that good either, downloads are at like 860kbs most times and uploads are like 0.30kbs which is retarded because I have some vids I need to upload its going to take ages lol

I'm also rural and from what I can tell when using my iPad away from my homes wifi because
3G does not work here is that only a few farms down they have 4G Internet were like just in the wrong place >.> only this iPad can't pick up Australian 4G but it said so on the Telstra website and you can tell anyways because of how fast things open once you enter that area.

So unfair!

While I don't have the speed problems, I just found out that I can't launch D3 while the beta is downloading, since the blizzard launcher is active... doh!

That...is not much like my internet. My downloads are 60kbs. Max. Well, the upload's about the same.

Gah with a download that big... I'm thinking I might just uninstall the beta and let the rest of it be a surprise when I buy the game. I'm not playing beta nearly as much as I wanted to and this just makes it.. bah.

Cancel the beta download just for a moment, launch D3, then once you're in game minimize and start the beta download again.

I always check around noon to see if beta needs an update, so hoping on the forums here to here talk of a big download this evening...grrrrr. Ah well, 20min in and at 47%...I want my goat!!!!!

Sweet thought, Yeah I'm just going to fully uninstall beta and wait till live comes out. I'm cramming for a new course I have to teach this fall and I only get the time to play live with my friend in the evening, so there is no point to keeping beta on my comp when I could use the space for the curriculum stuff I need to go over. Posted over in the Battlenet Mac support forums to see if I can get help making sure I remove the right files and not any that would affect my live game.

Geez.. well half hour in and im at 15% however it makes playing wow extremely laggy lol. Not going to play d3 if it has the same lag cause dang most times I dont know what hit me, now with this lag I wont even know im dead until a few secs later
