Pet Talent Trees - Help

Hey there!
I'll keep this as short and sweet as I can. Last night, I was very lucky in taming
Aotona, the killer parrot from Sholazard Basin. I realized before taming her, that she'd end up being of the
Cunning Family. I actually have another
Cunning pet,
Numaroc.
While my chimera is more or less a 'vanity pet' (as I hate the fact the wings constantly overlap the player's character), I had plans of actually using the parrot as my 'PvP' pet since wolf is the way to go in Raiding.
I'm looking for advice in how best to spec for some of my pets, for the various functions. I've never been good at Theorycrafting, so I'm all ears in turn with what suggestions folks have. I would also adore discussing a good
Raiding, Soloing, and
PvP spec for all the three types of pet families.
To get started, I guess I'm first looking to talent point
Aotona first.
Her current start of points:

Thank you very kindly in advance!

i play bm as well but i have 5 ferocity pets i dont use anything else and i hate cunning pets and i dont pvp much so i wouldnt be able to help in that area but if you want to know what i use for my ferocity pets talents heres a link to my pet's build
http://www.wowarmory.com/talent-calc.xm ... 3001122&bm
but i would recommend that you go with the generic buffs that would apply here is a link to a build i used based on the info your pet is lvl 68? so that would mean your lvl 73? is that correct? there is one more point if your pet reaches lvl 72 that you can use as well

The problem is, you don't really have a ton of wiggle room one way or another. At most you can switch around one or two points between different areas. That one is slightly more PvP oriented, for example, but you could easily switch out carrion feeder for the second point in grace of the mantis, since your pet is returned to full happiness when you die anyway. The general idea is to make whatever you are attacking die that much faster.

@Demonicow:
Currently,
Aotona is Lv75, as I tamed her last night (or this morning) at 2:20 AM.

So she's brand spanking new and not all of her points are there yet.
Additionally, my main spec is MarksMan (for raiding and PVPing)... Beast Master is the 'fun' spec and soloing. Until it is raid viable, my Skoll will never see the inside of a raid.

@Palladiamorsdeus
Thank you for the suggested spec. I am curious why you picked
cobra reflexes over greater stamina / armor (for a pvp build). I definitely would select those traits for a PvE spec, but never thought to incorporate them in a PvP one.
Also, is
Boar's Speed really advantageous? I see where
Owl's Focus, previously over looked for me, would be nice. I'm also curious as if points in
Resilience are wasted or just not enough points to consider them?

Boar's speed means that your pet won't constantly get outranged, and along with dash / intimidation it can stop mounted players. You want cobra reflexes to make an annoying pushback on enemy spellcasting.

What Saturo said. Also, as far as more armor or health goes, it isn't quite as much of a boon as you'd think. Basically your pet has two states in PvP: Living or dead. They don't spend a whole of time in the middle areas. If you are in a BG and a lot of AoE is flying around, your pet is, generally speaking, going to be okay as long as you remember mend pet. However, if a class, any class any DPS spec, decides to single out your pet, then they are dead, improved armor and health or not. Generally speaking, people ignore pet's if there is any sort of player target in range. Pet's don't give honor, and while they can be dropped fast, that's time not spent hitting the person who is controlling the pet, or that pesky healer, or that mage who just won't stop frost bolting them. That is why it is pretty much always a better idea to have your pet go with damage over survivability. Cobra reflexes work as a very nice DPS increase for your pet regardless of what area you are focusing on, and if you are BM then it helps proc other things. Finally, boars speed helps keep your pet in range of your target, like Saturo said. It's great for helping to catch fleeing enemies as well. Don't forget that a lot of people take some form of speed enchancer for their PvP gear, so a pet at baseline speed won't be able to keep up.
Use your pet like a scalpel. Put them where they will do the most harm, and pay very close attention to them. The damage they do adds up, and they are great to use in conjunction with basic or even advanced kiting skills. You end up with an opponent who can only reach you part of the time, and has a very angry, gnawing pet on them almost the entire time.

I tend to be a solo'er, and I mostly put the most points into defensive talents, like stam, and armor, and lionhearted.
The only areas I change are the damage and crit areas, but I don't see any difference between my wasp or raptor. I'm unable to use my Oaktick (Siltihid Ravager), my only Cunning pet, due to I re-specced out of Beast Mastery recently. v.v
I suck in PvP.... mostly run away, then die. >.>'
For me, I would go this way:

well like i said before i dont pvp often and i have all ferocity pets so idk what to tell you and i asumed you were bm because you mentioned numaroc which is an exotic and i assumed your pet was lvl 68 because in the spec you first linked showed the requirement of lvl 68 so i assumed it was lvl 68 remember to only spec up to your pet's lvl unless you want a build for a lvl 80 pet with the +4 points cuz of bm it can make a big difference and pallad(not gonna spell whole name) whenever my pets dps unless its a toon with 2.5k to 6k gs my pet usually isnt the one that dies he can solo lvl 78 toons

If you're into solo leveling with your cunning pets rather than pvp, a good strategy for them would be speed and power. I currently own two cunning pets and they seem to be quite useful for me when I am out in the wild questing and leveling with the way I am building their talents at the moment. Speed and power in my case is most essential with them as well as the rest of my buddies, which is making me train them to be almost like a hybrid to ferocity pets. Since I am only at level 41, I somewhat have it planned out to what talents they will have but I will later decide as they reach higher levels. I've recently maxed out both of my pets' Spiked Collar talent.

Your pet should be able to solo pretty much anything non-elite, really, and that's even in my non-defensive talent pick. That being said, if you have to drop four, make sure you at least get one point in Wild Hunt, it helps.
As for PvP! Running away in PvP is also called kiting! Remember, never just back up from an enemy, strafe like there is no tomorrow. Concussive shot and wing clip are your friends!

So.
Palladiamorsdeus, got any fun macros I could snipe from you for when I pvp?
Got a few, but they're very raid-y. (IE linking up Chimera shot, trinks, rapid shot)..etc.
