One of my friends on the beta gave me the heads up on this; it appears the tarantula skeleton may have undergone some changes.

The portrait looks different to the one on live to me, and so does their pose and death animations. Now, I haven't seen one on live for a while, so this may have been added in one of the recent live patches. But I'm not sure. If someone could confirm that'd be cool

Death and idle pose are the same as live, but I reported the tarantula portrait change quite some time ago. Although now I can't find the thread, odd! Anyway, confirmed one of the three. ^_^

It does seem to sit a bit taller now, but I haven't played with a tarantula in probably a year. Kalli would probably notice any difference. I like the smelly tweaks though if there are in fact any!

Well, it doesn't hurt that I almost always have a tarantula with me.
