I took my little level 46 BM Hunter to pick up this rare... but when I found it, it said it was "untameable!"
I double/triple checked to make sure I was in BM spec... but it still would not allow me to tame?
Anyone know what's up??

BM isn't the sole requirement to taming an exotic pet. You actually have to reach the ability Beast Mastery at the very bottom of the tree, which isn't available until you reach level 69.

No worries, understandable mistake.
Many times people just talk about being BM for taming exotic pets, and while one would usually assume that signifies the full tree including the final tier talent, it's not always clear, especially if you're new.

Good news is I believe the ability to tame exotics is automatic once you spec BM with the new Talent System...I may be wrong though.

It's true that taming exotics is baked into the BM spec now, but it still doesn't activate until level 69.

Ahh ok, I wasn't sure since my Hunter is already 85.
