As the relatives before it, such as Mim's head and Invincible, how much time or speculation until Blizzard decides to drop the rate to 1%?
Currently, I'm at 386 ilevel, and my guild just downed Heroic gunship. I really want the mount. Best Alexstraza mount in existance....

My guess (and it is simply that) will be, on the 25th of September... when they release MOP. This mount along with the guaranteed Red Fire Hawk that drops from HM Rags will drop to a low percentage also.

(though I would be thoroughly thrilled if they did not do this, but yes, if they follow the last expansion, it looks grim)

I dont get why they even do this, it still takes a bit of organization to even down these bosses in heroic mode still. Even to go back an expac to do lk/yogg :/

They never nerfed the droprate of OS3d though, I wondered why they left that one 'alone'.

Well geared 85s who cant figure out how to stand out of shadow traps or stand in defile will still easily wipe the raid on LK too. What didn't make sense to me is that they still allow you to wear your Light of Dawn title, but not have the mount drop that is associated with it. Sure there would be a lot more Invincibles around, but with the fact that there are going to be 200+ available mounts you're still not going to see it too often, and fighting with the roll with 24 other lvl 85s is still a bit hard to obtain. Heck I still don't even have a Twilight Drake from OS253d (never roll well on that one).

I think Invincible was much rarer in WOTLK than the Life Bender's is in CATA though, perhaps that was some sort of drive to lower Invincible to 2 or 3% or whatever it is. Maybe if they look at the population and see X amount of Life Benders or the Ragnaros fire hawks, they will just let them be. I'm trying to get Ragnaros' firehawk done before Panda myself (probably wont happen, but perhaps a Firelord title will), but I would love to be able to still burn Ragnaros' odd looking legs and see the mount drop.

On 25m heroic, two Lifebinder's drop, plus the orange drake has a chance to drop too. As far as I know, only one Invincible dropped.

I see so many people on the Beta with Invincible. it is the only mount that I'd ever consider buying off the Black Market AH, although I'll probably never has so much money. I love it but, as you said, 1% droprate vs 24 other people rolling... not gonna happen.

Here's to hoping they let the Handmaiden mounts / Rag mounts stay as is.

I agree its not something you can faceroll even at a lvl 90. The mechanics arent easy, and heck they nerfed dragonsoul down to 30% so that people can get it down easier so why change it to 1% droprate. Even now basically not alot of guilds are doing DS because people got bored of Cata so they left, most guilds end up sellling spots. With mounts becoming Moa its less about the achievement of getting a hard to get mount, but more about just the diversity of the mounts. I think they should just let it be so that everyone gets a shot at the mounts. Even now to get into a H rag kill raid they want you to have atleast 6/7 heroic down and most demand a firelord title..

Exactly or the only other way is to spend 100k+ to get it. I hope blizz just keeps it this way so that everyone has a chance at it.

If i had that kind of gold I would contemplate it. There is a guild is offering full DS heroic clear and mount for 100k.

I'm also looking at that Crimson Deathcharger on the AH for only 66k as well. If only I was rich heh.

I just have to pray I am lucky enough to see it drop and win a roll. I know I will never have the money to buy anything off that blackmarket AH. Hell, for the first time since I started playing in Dec. 2010; I finally made over 10k gold...and it was only because I deleted my Priest and sold all her disenchants. Made a shit load off it. Course, I am not one to sit at my computer all day and farm stuff either to make tons of gold. Maybe that is my problem. lol I have a 6 month old, so it is already hard enough sometimes to do raids. Thankfully, my guild understands and some have kids of their own as well so it makes that part easier.

The developers haven't decided yet how they'll handle it, but it's likely they'll make some adjustments.

I hope to god they don't nerf it to something stupid low. :/ Not as bothered about the DS mounts but I really like that Firehawk, my guild has never completed FL though and getting a group that won't slack off and disintegrate mid way is amazingly hard to come by.

I could try open raid but they want Firelord titles. I don't have that. Now my own realm is asking for bloody Firelords too. How am I supposed to do this? Blah!!

I didn't have firelord aswell and found a group that accepted non firelords. They exist, but seeing as hard as the fight is, I can understand how people want to be on the safe side with firelords, though that doesn't guarantee success! If you happen to be on an EU server, keep "Mowky" in your friendlist, been going with him for weeks now and he gave me a chance the first run and I did get firelord with him. But, there must be more!

I struggle to find Firelands raids that don't require you to have already done it all before as well. I haven't done any of it. I took a break from WoW round about when that raid came out and I don't raid properly anyway, I only do the Dragon Soul LFR groups at the moment. So it's really hard for me to find a good group for Firelands at all. :/

Yep with firelands usually they want you to have 7/7heroic experience aka firelord title. Its really hard to find groups that'll accept you if you dont have it. I was hoping to buy the mount but it fell through on openraid its pretty much you need to have xp to get into any raid. Even the metas ones.. which I dont get cause I need the heroic metas from bot/bwd/throne for my meta but they always want you to have full xp. If I had the xp needed for that I wouldnt be going in the first place lol.

Sometimes youll find someone awesome who will let you come and learn (got saon 6/7h xp because of it) but I find it hard to find groups thatll accept me in open raid.

Sad news for all those trying: the droprates will be reduced.

At least they have the META purple firehawk available, and the other META for Dragon Soul still right?

I think so! It was just the Naxx drakes that got taken away.
