Now that Wain mentioned Flying Reindeer mount in a different thread, I was starting to think there should be a rare mount for every Holiday. They're getting close:

Loves in the Air ~ Big Love Rocket that doesn't exist I swear / Pink tallstrider
Noblegarden ~ Grey tallstrider
Brewfest ~ Brewfest Ram / Brewfest Kodo
Hallows ~ HHM Horse

(may have missed one)

Ideas for others that i have:
Lunar Festival ~ Moon rocket, when mounted a trail of Moonlight emits from the rocket (instead of flames, its white moonlight, Lunar powered!). There is even a glittering moon sticker on the right side of the rocket.

Children's Week ~ Tricycle. seriously a tricycle that you ride around. Land mount, and obviously with lots of tassels


Red version for horde, blue for alliance. Maybe attainable after completing the new-daily Orphan fight to the death, kind of like the wow-Hunger games. All orphans are equal in stats, so its all about strategy and ability.

You can only queue for it once a day, but whomever wins the deathmatch of 12 gets a trike (randomly just thought of this)

Thanksgiving Festival ~ (duh, flying turkey mount)



Christmahaunakwanzakah ~ An actual flying Reindeer mount (no hops needed) as Wain mentioned in a different thread. That would be neat.



What do you guys think? What types of mounts out there could be implemented in furture holidays?

I want an Omen/Nian corehound mount from the Lunar Festival!

Maybe a La-Z-Boy for Pilgrim's Bounty?

That turkey mount would be especially awesome!

Orphan fight to the death would be... the most disturbing and wrong thing ever to be put in the game. So that's a no from me on that Then again I think the whole set of new holiday achievements for Children's Week was a bit sickening, and completely contrary (seemingly deliberately so) to the original theme. I'm glad they removed the worst of them. Hopefully that team were shifted to permanent pvp duties.

Day of the Dead: skeletal steed adorned with marigolds. Or, to reflect the central American origin of the theme, a skeletal wind serpent mount. They already have the model at least.

I could see the turkey one being reasonable too, they could just alter and reskin that giant chicken mount a bit.

I always thought Brewfest should have a Wolpertinger mount.

Hahaha at the tricycle. They'll never allow orphan death matches though. No killing or harming of virtual kiddies allowed in WoW.

Yeah, it's not allowed in pretty much any video game. Because people are way too sensitive. So, a kiddy deathmatch is pretty much completely out of the question. xD

OMG...turkey mount...I would love it. xD

Reindeer mount would be epic too. I could probably actually see that maybe, probably using the new Druid stag skin and just reskinning it to make it look festive...and fly.

Its basically just the Hunger Games. Thats the reference I was going at. I never read the book/saw the movie but I think there was 12 districts.

Its unfortunately the mount they implemented this past year. Not that fancy Bunny mount would have been incredibly awesome.

That would be incredibly cool. Just kind of like a Deathknight's Flying mount but Wind-Serpentish?

I get what you were referencing. (: It's just, if you were trying to be serious about these ideas, that kinda thing wouldn't, no, couldn't happen, I'm afraid.

Midsummer - Giant, glowing, flashy, multicoloured wisp. Imagine riding that... a semi-transparent Nelf head. Yeahhh...

In al seriousness a giant turkey would be awesome, especially if they made a new model/used the turkey pet model for it and it bobbed it's head and wiggled. It's /mountspecial could be it "sensing it's fate" and turning into a roast dinner.

Would LOVE a Tricycle! Different coloured for each faction of one from each Orphan or something :p SW boy = blue with golden tassles, maybe a few toys ties to it. Horde orc one could be red with sparklers or little rockets spazzing out on the sides. Outland Dreanai one could be green/purple/pink (not enough pink mounts) with Naa'ru glowy bits much like the Belf girl could give a Golden one with glowing green sunwell stuff and red tassles or something... Oooh a burning legion X-TREME edition lol.

That tricycle is awesome, I can see it in-game and being loved by those who have it and envied by those who don't!

I want a ultra-rare Pumpkin Carriage for Hallow's End that seats 2.

I think it would be awesome for the Tricycle to move at 20% speed increase. Something vast lower than a regular mount

I still think a hunger games battle-royal might be fun. Fine I'll drop the "using orphans".

Kind of like a orchestrated STV Chest in which 12 people go 12v12. Stealth would only work for the first 10 seconds of the match (that way a rogue or druid or a hunter couldnt just stealth and wait for the other people to kill each other)

Participating with your Orphan out grants the achievement "What type of parental guardian are you???"

When i thought of the tricycle, i actually thought it more as a quest reward that the child gives you after a long chain. Blizz likes kidnapped children, so, why not go on a dangerous mission to save the childs friends? We already do that for a year-round quest offered at the broken down caravan in the dread wastes of terokkar forest. It'd be awesome! At the end we return the child to the orphanage to be with his friends and the matron rewards us with the bike.

Ooo I like it! Heck it could even be at walking speed. Still a epic mount and a nifty little holiday chain to go with it

I think Mylune should be a new quest-giver for Children's Week, giving out animal orphan quests!
