Epic turtle models smaller?

Just tamed an epic turtle model, and it's MUCH smaller then the common, non epic skin when tamed.
Are you sure it's just not the mob itself? Some new beasts are different sizes (Bigger/Smaller) and thus are different than normal beasts when tamed.
If that isn't the case, then I have to say that it's pretty strange that they're smaller when they're epic.
