poor awkward turtle.
i like the different styles of shells too. I think I'm more inclined to the softer shell ones myself (the ones without the top shell part spiking up).

I did a bit of a survey of (non-instanced) dragon turtles tonight and I found all the ones from the beast list except the Jade Snapping Turtle, plus a few that weren't on the list but I think had been reported further on in the thread. As for the Jade Snapping Turtle, maybe it was lost in the JF revamp or maybe I missed it.
Everything on the list is tameable except for one "Trained" one that I noted. Some of the ones listed previously as having multiple colours seem to only have one now. Unless I was unlucky with the colours I spotted.
As far as I can tell, all colours are available and tameable on the regular model. Only two "epic" colours are, however. I'm ignoring that odd "DragonTurtleBlack" skin as it seems to be a mistake and hasn't been used. Maybe it was an early prototype they forgot to delete.
Regular Model
RidingDragonTurtleBlack
- Sharpshell Wader, Townlong Steppes
- Razorback Snapper, Valley of the Four Winds
- Jade Snapping Turtle, Jade Forest (*appears after initial Horde quest chain, not sure if Alliance can ever see it)
RidingDragonTurtleBlue
- Shoreshell Snapper, Kun-Lai Summit
- Seadragon, Krasarang Wilds (two colours)
- Seadragon Hatchling, Krasarang Wilds
RidingDragonTurtleBrown
- Riverbank Barbshell, Valley of the Four Winds (two colours)
RidingDragonTurtleGreen
- Pearly Tortoise, Jade Forest
- Muck Snapper, Jade Forest
- Saltback Yearling, Jade Forest
- Saltback Turtle, Jade Forest
- Rankbite Tortoise, Townlong Steppes
- Bulgeback Tortoise, Valley of the Four Winds
- Riverbank Barbshell, Valley of the Four Winds (two colours)
- Seadragon, Krasarang Wilds (two colours)
RidingDragonTurtlePurple
- Chillwater Turtle, Dread Wastes
- Wyrmhorn Turtle, Valley of the Four Winds
- Trained Brineshell Snapper, Dread Wastes - not tameable and seems to use riding model
RidingDragonTurtleRed
- Brineshell Snapper, Dread Wastes
Epic Model
RidingDragonTurtleBlack - EPIC
- Krosh, Valley of the Four Winds
RidingDragonTurtleBlue - EPIC
- Elder Shoreshell Snapper, Kun-Lai Summit
RidingDragonTurtleBrown - EPIC
- Elder Seadragon, Krasarang Wilds
RidingDragonTurtleGreen - EPIC
- Rankbite Ancient, Townlong Steppes
- maybe Scar-Shell <Mighty Dragon Turtle> in the Arena of Annihilation, but it was last confirmed untameable. Unsure if it's even the same colour.
RidingDragonTurtlePurple - EPIC
RidingDragonTurtleRed - EPIC
- Bloodtooth, Krasarang Wilds

Are any of these turtle's rare models? I have a problem in which I cannot bond with a pet if its a common skinned non-rare.

Bloodtooth is a track-tame, which can be considered somewhat rare.

Maybe you're not using the right adhesive. Fur, feathers, scales, and chitin all have different properties and will require different adhesives.

Question: are there any turtles in instances that could be added? And if so is there any recent (this build) info on their colours?
The same with any that might appear through summoning or quests, like that new "ring of blood" one.

The only turtle in an instance is the epic green one, and he's a requirement for a scenario... I don't think there are any other instance turtles, nor any others that are summoned with a quest.

Has anyone confirmed Scar-Shell <Mighty Dragon Turtle>, from the Arena scenario is still the same colour (epic model, green), and untameable, in this build?

So I went around and checked each dragon turtle to see which ones are too small when tamed, and here's what I got:
Too small:
Bloodtooth
Elder Seadragon
Seadragon
Seadragon Hatchling
Perfect size:
Pearly Tortoise
Saltback Yearling
Saltback Turtle
Riverbank Barbshell
Krosh
Razorback Snapper
Bulgeback Tortoise
Wyrmhorn Turtle
Shoreshell Snapper
Elder Shoreshell Snapper
Sharpshell Wader
Rankbite Ancient
Rankbite Tortoise
Chillwater Turtle
Brineshell Snapper
Muck Snapper
So it seems just the Krasarang turtles are bugged.
Here's some comparisons with all types of turtles, and the bugged smaller turtle at the end:

Gosh, I love that small turtle! What a nice size! I wish it would stay, though obviously it won't.

Heh, I think the dragon turtles have too nice of a model for them to be that small! <3

The size of the small turtle is adorable. I'd love to see a snapshot of one with the glyph of smaller sizes

Couldn't picture it as much of a tanking turtle though, though it would be rather cute :3
-crosses fingers- Here's to hoping for more epic versions!

Epic dragon turtles are now the proper size!
And Krosh... isn't green anymore.
But he's epic.
Rankbite Ancients are now epic green.
Elder Shoreshell Snappers are epic blue.

So Mia, which blue you mean that Elder Shoreshell Snappers got? Krosh-blue, or that blue-with-brown-shell?

Blue with brown shell. Technically Krosh's new skin is "black"
