The Boneknapper!
Or maybe the Skrill, as I am forever enchanted by lightning.

Even though the Stereotypical Dragon with 4 legs, a pair of wings, and the ability to breath certain things like Ice or Fire are unrealistic and such things in an animal would never evolve, I'll participate anyways because I liked the movie and I like dragons (However unrealistic they may be).
Seadragonus Giganticus Maximus, because it reminds me of Abelisaurs like Majungatholus and Carnotaurus due to it's head shape.
EDIT: I forgot parts of the things I was gonna say!

Am I the only who thinks alot of these dragon's designs were made using Spore?
They're very simple, yet unique and elegant looks just remind me of the creature creator a ton.

So many choices! I just wish they all came with pictures.
My first choice would be a
Night Fury, hands down!
If for whatever reason having a
Night Fury wasn't possible, my second choice would be a
Dreamserpent based on its description.
A
Dreamserpent is a dragon that travels into your dreams and flies around in the air. It will deliver either good dreams or nightmares depending on how evil the host's soul is. It is said to have a completely transparent body, but no visible organs of any sort. Its wings connect near the small of the dragon's back to create a sort of cape when the wings are closed. But when its wings are open, they seem like normal dragon wings. It is also a very picky eater!

I had never heard of it before either, until tonight. It obviously wasn't in the film but it was listed on the HTTYD wiki site and so I decided to use it for one of my picks. Here's the site where I found the information:
http://howtotrainyourdragon.wikia.com/w ... ry:Dragons.

Night Fury would be my first choice. I love their intelligence and behavior.
I'm also a fan of Monsterous Nightmares and Terrible Terrors. <3
Also Deadly Nadders....
They're all so great!

Definately a Nightfury for me, Toothless in the movie acted exactly like my cat which was unreal and hysterical at the same time.

After pouring over sites looking at the types of dragons...Night Fury is still my favourite, its not to big, its smart, eats fish (so easy to feed), and really, those eyes, so Cute!!!

First choice would defiantly be a Skrill, there just so awesome.
2nd choice ia a Naddar, color schemes cool and they remind me of proto-drakes.
Timberjacks and Monsterous Nighmares are neat to.

... Not everything you like has to be realistic, you know... Besides, 'stereotypical' dragons are awesome. (And more like how they exist in legends, not stereotypical.)
I however would have to pick the
Night Fury. For obvious reasons... Adorableness!
My favourite Disney character of all time is Stitch from Lilo and Stitch, and, if I remember correctly, some of his animators worked on Toothless and that is why they look so similar.
If I was to pick a less 'common' species though (since everyone and their mum insists on making crappy Night Fury OCs)...
The
Terrible Terror.
They're so cute... yet so deadly. And I loved them the moment I saw them pissing off poor Toothless cause they wanted some fish. And when one of them cuddled into Hiccup... sdfjksdnfhjsf <3

Stumbled upon this video tonight and thought I'd add it for both its entertainment value and its connection with this topic.

Oh, and a dragon that looks like a cross between a hydra + a venus flytrap
AND produces the scent of chocolate ... AWESOME! I'd definitely get me one of those if they were real!

Hehehe I have that on DVD. :3 The dragons in it are awesome, really unique ideas and designs and they must've been so fun to create.
