Quick Question: about cats

I have nameplates enabled on my hunters, so I can see the names of the mobs around me (not the health bars as well).

And I was wondering something, as I ran around Dustwallow leveling my herbalism, avoiding Allies. I wanted to tame a cat, but I have no clue as to if you can still see it, like it's nameplate, when it's in prowl? [According to being on the opposite side, not the pet's master I mean.]

(I also have Alchemy, and I can make lesser invis potions, so wondering the same thing for that too.)

As far as I know, they can not see your cat's name when she's prowling. Kind of pointless if they could,ya know?

Along those lines, don't you just love stealthed players in bg's with their non-combat pets out?

I've never been in BG's (I hate PvP), but I can imagine that.

"Why is that Westfall Chicken running into battle...?" o.O? ..... <.< "Free Kill!" :3

A gnome rogue on my team in AB was "hiding" next to the stables...with his orphan out. This wasn't a little tiny non-combat pet that could theoretically be overlooked, it's a large human child just standing there. Hmmm..... The area was promptly flared and the little rogue was quickly defeated. /sigh

Which proves to not have a companion pet out while you're in stealth. It will stick you out like a sore thumb, invisible or not.
