WoW Petopia Community

I just flipped thru the fan art on the Warcraft page. Out of 771 drawings, only three of them featured a female dwarf (granted I didn't look closely at each one, there may have been a few I didn't notice). Those three were all part of a group of some kind and only one was at all flattering. There were female night elf, blood elf, draeni and humans beyond counting. There was a fair representation of female Tauren, Troll, Undead, Gnome and Orc. But only three female dwarves. No one draws us.

Well, I find it a bit hard to draw them without making then look fat, and drawing their faces can be a pain. Then again, I stick to digital art, it might be easier to draw them by hand.

Because female dwarves are awesome and sexy.... All the people that dont realize their awesomeness go play blood elves.

because some see femaile dworfs as beards with boobs.. dont know why though.. in wow females cant show a beard like they can in many others mmorpgs.-.

Accually wow has the best female dworf model when i compare it to some others mmorpgs..

I think female dwarves are fantastic, though their low polygons bother me. My priesty always has such a blank look compared to some of the other races. Come to think of it, it might be a general older-model problem (and at least it isn't as bad as the female trolls).

Anyway, I think I've seen quite a bit of female dwarf art over on deviantart through wow_ladies. Might be worth a browse. (Dunno how deviant works though, are there tags?)

The pic that Sara posted is actually a picture of a dwarf hunter from Wyrmrest Accord, if I'm not mistaken... dont know if she still plays though.

theres loads i love getting commissions to draw them they are a little harder then gnomes but still fun maybe i should upload some later for you if it makes you smile ( at college right now so i cant do much T^T )

why so few drawings because they are the most hideous race/gender combo in wow(Grantred that Gnomes are the most annoying) they look ugly with their clothes on what do you think they look like with them off and yes you cant help but draw them fat because thats what they are fat tubs of fugly fubar garbage and nobody should ever have to encounter one they should all be placed in a dungeon where only the most hideous creatures in all of azeroth live as for why in wow because people are retarded

I personally like female dwarves. They're tough cookies, and their accent is adorable. I have to agree that drawing dwarves would be more challenging, which could be another reason why. Of course, they're also pretty much the only curvy girls in WoW. Society today shines the spotlight on super-skinny models, and it may have an effect on what people enjoy looking at/playing a as well. Could it have an effect on how people view the lady dwarves? /shrug

K, normally I know people are entitled to their own opinion, but I can't help but wonder if you feel the same way about slightly-overweight women in real life, too. I'm not fat, but I'm not 105 lbs either (been there once, and never again, I was sick), but I suppose you'd call me a "fat tub of fugly fubar garbage and no one should ever have to encounter me". Thanks a lot. And I guess only "retards" play them? Again, thanks a lot. I happen to have a dwarf female hunter and I enjoy her. But I guess only stick-thin females with giant chests are the only ones that are worthwhile in this world to you. You have a lot to learn, young man.

And for the record, I think dwarves are far from fat. The designers gave them a slightly-bigger-than-anorexic frame, sure, but they are not what one would consider fat.

If you meant what you said as a joke, then I apologize. But you should really think about posting things like that because I'm sure you offended more than just me. And trust me, it takes a LOT to offend me.

i only feel this way about female dwarves and they arent curvy they just have so much fat here and there that there are gaps in their waists and they arent beautiful(wow wise) but ive seen drawings that make them look beautiful and also if it were wow those pics would be of humans cuz thats what they look like if compared to a wow character

I gotta agree Demon the way you said it made it sound very very RUDE. I like female dwarfs there is NOTHING wrong with them in the VERY least, they are fine as is just many people dont play them I myself am making a female dwarf shammy come cataclysm. Why? Because you see so many draenei ones - now I wont knock my draenei cause I love them but there is NOTHING wrong with a female dwarf.

Definetely have to agree with the rest, nothing wrong with dwarf women and I don't see the huge taboo on people making them. Not to mention they have one of the best casting animations in game with the pigtails.

Im just going to throw my opinion in. Female dwarfs are like female orcs. Most people if they do play a dwarf or orc are going male just because of the lore and movies. (not much publicity on either side for fe-dwarfs and fe-orcs) Not to mention most people now dont even play dwarfs let alone female ones
