Where can i begin downloading that >_>

Log in your downloader, and it'll do it for you.

how do i do that...? >.>;; im not sure what you mean by logging into a downloader xD

Open your launcher. It should have text at the bottom saying its downloading something.

Didn't do that for me, is this for a PTR or the Beta?

I opened up the launcher (took a while to find it, my shortcut takes me instantly to the log in screen), and its saying 'World of Warcraft is up to date'. Underneath that is saying 'Downloading data for the next update'. There isnt any download bar but the connection info is working on something (size appears to be 21.0 GB). I have no way of knowing though if this is pre-patch or somthing else entirely >.> for what is supposedly (or least if my half-asleep memory is serving me right, it was said its gonna be big for a pre-patch) to be a massive pre-patch, if this is the patch, in the last 5-10min im already at 72% downloaded

It is the pre patch Xak, but it starts at like 15gigs. Its adding 6 gigs on for the MoP stuff. Its in the background downloader.

ooooh wooo thats awesome! I just checked back at its status and its gone up 2% so it should be done in the next mm, well, should be by the end of tonight for convenience reasons (i dont want to leave my computer on overnight like ive had to in the past >.>) xD Without pre-patch actually live right now theres not really any concern for me to have it downloaded in a hurry

Hum! I'll have to look again. I might have already triggered it this morning when I logged in real quick to scan for aeonaxx.

Yeah it took me like 6 hours to download yesterday because my internet kept randomly shutting off

Woo, I now have a project for the week...for when I, and the rest of the house, is sleeping.

If you want to see progress and the separate downloader isn't up, click 'Info' on the launcher and it should show 'Connection Info.'

If you are on a Mac, check your dock for the purpleish-blue icon that pops up on your dock, click on it and it will show you how much more of the download that it has. My friend on her PC said it showed up in her utilities bar I think she said?

Seems a pretty big download-the bar is mostly full on mine but says like 10 more hours left. Thinking it is pre-launch patch and perhpas a security patch as well?

If it were a security patch I think it wouldn't let us opt out. Pretty sure it's just pre-MoP patch, or part of it.

It's just the first part of the pre-patch, the "confirmed" stuff that isn't buggy.

They do it before every major patch to make you have less to download on patch day. :3

It would be nice to play with the new stuff before it does come out so I can play around some more on Live to see how I want to get my specs done.

Yup. Class changes and new talent systems are usually introduced in the pre-expansion patch so people have some time to adjust and get used to them.

We were musing in chat, and the day after Labor Day is the most likely for the patch.. unless they do it a week before, and then the Theramore event starts the day after Labor Day.

That also means time in Beta is short.
