I tamed Hellgazer on the beta a while back because I've always run into him in Tanaris and thought he was cool. When I logged in today, however, I was in for a pleasant surprise. It would seem that he is getting his own, unique skin.
It's similar to the yellow skin but with purple accents instead of turquoise. Very neat.

Yep, that's noted in the big basilisk thread. Great pics! Good to see him in a less harsh zone.

He's nice but I don't like the mixing of turquoise/purple: see how there's a bit of turquoise at the base of the purple hair? That clash bothers me

I mean, it's a new change, but it's noted there already because Wain is amazingly on top of this.

Awesome I'm glad someone posted because they loved one of the changes. Most of the rares / named should now have striking colourings, in a way that makes them seem to belong with local common basilisks, yet still stand out. I think the new Deatheye has surprised me... I like him a lot more than I thought and I'm using him at the moment. But there are still so many others I like.

The difference in colouration at the base of the crests (and the nose) is unavoidable, but in a lot of cases I actually like the three-tone gradient. In others, not so much. With Deatheye I think it works especially well, and I like it in Hellgazer too.

I love Hellgazer. He absolutely *GLOWS*. I'm running around with him on the PTR as well; I saw him in his 'new clothes' and couldn't resist.

As for liking the others, I'm *adoring* them. Although when I first saw the Gorged Basilisks, I declared to a guildie (with great glee, I might add), 'They're gayer than *I* am!'. The colors are so very... flamboyant. I *LOVE* them.
