I thought that, but then I noticed the items are all white-quality, so perhaps not. =/

I assume they'd only do that if they meant them to be mogged. Also, does the yellow name mean it can be? I'm not familiar with that.

Usually yellow means it's white in game.
I know you get a straw hat from one of the farmers if you are best friends with them, Ig uess I should check mine out and see if it has changed at all or whatnot. I know it's still white quality though.

Maybe they are going to relax the rules about transmog and white (or even grey!) items. If so, it's about time! The vast majority are just normal looking armour pieces and are often the only source for the appearance. There's only a very few items that would look silly and I don't know why they didn't just deal with them on a case-by-case basis.

I would totally love to see at least white items become moggable, that would open up a ton of new options, especially with the low level armor sets. Can't see grey armor becoming moggable, at least not without Blizz taking the time to convert them to white items. After all, grey items are no longer vendor trash if they become useful in mogging.

That would be really awesome. There are some white and grey quality items out there that I really like.

Well, there are some moggable white items. Binding ones with special abilities. So maybe we'll get lucky and they *are* moggable; they are BoP, after all.

Yep, special transmogrification items like the replica gear is white, or at least I thought they were?

The replica gear is beige, rather than white quality.

I just realized something: If they were only implementing the Straw Hats as vanity / RP items, why are there Straw Hats for each armor type? Seems to me that if Blizzard only wanted them to be worn for fun, they'd only make a cloth version or a non-armor type (like the Forever-Lovely Rose) like they have for so many other items. Perhaps the fact there are Straw Hats for each armor type is a strong indicator? This is what they currently have on the MMO Champions page:

Cloth: Straw Hat
Leather: Straw Hat
Mail: Straw Hat
Plate: Straw Hat

Mogging is the only reason that makes sense to make it of all 4 armour types.

So I noticed today that they put these hats in with the Tillers Quartermaster:

Now they just need to give us our eye patch back.

And I just tried to mog it, and sadly I couldn't. Hopefully that will change one day.

The exalted version might be able to be mogged.

No, it's not an exalted version, it's the plate version.
