My Monk's Professions will be <Fill in the Blank>

Just a fun thread on what you see your Monk doing in the crafting world when MoP goes live. For me, I see mine doing Jewelcrafting / Leatherworking. I rarely do double crafting professions for my toons, but I feel this will fill a valuable hole in my crafting base since I've only done these professions once, and both are on clothie casters that I'm not particularly fond of. I tend to excel at melee oriented classes (though I do just as good playing Hunters and Elemental Shamen), so I'm hoping I'll be as good at Monks as I am with the others and have more reason to do dailies and obtain recipes for myself

Really good question.
I have a herb/alch, mine/engineer, herb/inscript, skin/nothing all maxed or close enough that I will have them at release. My guild has a maxed leatherworker, blacksmith and jewcrafter already so I dont need to work on those really unless I want to have them myself eventually.
I've two 170 range tailors that I never finished, they were the next in the plans, but I might not work on leveling my druid or mage if I end up liking the monk (couldn't get a good feel for them in Beta as I need to grow with the toon and get the skills at individual times or I get frustrated with it all being thrown at me at once).
If I like the monk, I might make it my enchant/tailor instead of the ones that I have started, or maybe skin/leather. *shrug*

Engi & Enchanting! I have mats to powerlevel both ready and waiting to go.
Enchanting because she'll be my raiding/dungeoning main and I want to be able to do my own enchants, engi because it's awesome. =)

Hehe, I did the same for my Jewelcrafting / Leatherworking plans. Thank God I have a 5 bank guild tab on one of my toons, all that leather takes up a ton of space. I thought about doing Engineering *again*, but I have it on 3 toons already and really don't want to do it a 4th time.

The only thing I have pegged down is that she'll be an Herbalist... really likes to pick flowers.
Maybe for the other, Enchanting...? I'd leave it blank but I feel really weird doing that.

Most likely will just do herb/skinning to gather mats while leveling, to use for my other toon's profs. Like making monk glyphs for myself or LW gear. Or just selling the mats for some spending money.

This is actually an excellent question. I'm not sure what I'll do with her. Hadn't thought about it! Thanks for asking.

Right now I have skin/eng, min/bs, min/jc, herb/insc and a low-lvl tailor/ench that I'm not sure if I'll be playing any higher.
I'm not sure if my monk will go any higher than any of my other abandoned classes, it just doesn't click for me, but she'll be skinner/leatherworker. My main was skiner/lw during her leveling days, and now is a skiner/engineer, because eng is awesomeness - but I miss the ability to process my own hides, especially the scraps.
My upcommming panda shammy, that does click for me 100%, will be herbalism/alchemy. I don't have an alchemist yet, and it seems so close to cooking and brewing that it's more than perfectly racially fitting

Monk? No idea, was thinking Engi/JC for my panda shammy.

Does tailoring have any perks that help with tanking? There's room in my roster for a tailor, but if I roll a monk it's likely to be a tank (I'm no darn good at melee DPS) and the last time I had a tailor (back in Wrath) none of the tailor benefits did anything for tanks--they were all DPS boosts or leg enchants for cloth armor.

Either double gather, or skinning/LW. Haven't decided if I'm doing LWing on the rogue or monk yet. xD

Most likely skin/herb for me. I already have all of the professions on other characters (well, except for Leatherworking, but I'm working on that) so I don't really have a need for another crafter right now. Plus, all the old world mats I'd be collecting on the way will sell pretty well.

An astoundingly boring gatherer, most likely skinner and herbalist, because I have all the other professions spoken for. Boring panda is boring.
