I have spotted Madexx about 5 times now, I've been after Blue/Red but I have only ever seen the Blue skin once - when a warrior brutally murdered him in front of me despite my /beg's o.e...
I have seen his brown skin 3 times and black skin once. Seeing him again today made me want to camp again, he seems to have this protective and cocky personality. The second I tamed him he proceeded to pick a fight with a nearby hyena.

Are the brown and black skin the most common? I always seem to see these spawn and not the one I want.
What is his re-spawn timer and when should I start camping?
He spawned under me today at 19:25pm server time.

i've never seen any of his colors ever. ever. i've never ever seen a madexx i want the blue one also

I've frequently seen the green skin up the most, I was surprised when I was able to tame the blue one on my troll.
If I had tamed every Madexx I've come across so far, I think my stables would be about 97% green, with a spattering of the other colors here and there as well.

Honestly? I'm holding out for the red skin, but I've yet to see him. :(

Maybe you seem them more often because they can be found more commonly after the molten front came? I've seen these in the molten front and the firelands raid.

Madexx's color spawns are all equal and random. You're just unlucky, I'm afraid.

Yup. what she said. I've camped all the colors of that bad boy. He's completely random.

I've got the blue on my troll, the green on my worgen and I've seen the blue one at least twice since on my troll. Even had another hunter PM me to tell me he was up the other day while I was grinding Uldum archaelogy.

I think his spawn timer is around 8 hours, but I could be wrong. I was after the Green skin a while back and it seemed like all I was getting was Brown and Red. However, one morning right before servers went down for maintenance, I saw the green one and he's now my favorite pet. Keep at it, you'll eventually get the color you want and I wish you the best of luck.

The short end of Madexx's timer is six hours.

The color of Madexx you seek tends to spawn at the rate of watching water come to a boil, but in hours instead of seconds.

3 months (right after the Cata xpac) doing nothing but doing circles waiting for a Green Madexx... I saw him once about 2 weeks in to my hunt ... while a rogue killed him in like 10sec... no amount of /begging would stop him... he was even on the same faction as I. Afterwards he told me that he thought it dropped the scorpion mount.. and then slapped me in the face by giving me the Tear it had dropped.

3 months... I was able to tame every other color of him, and gave away some others... and when no one was on that could tame him he died so I could get a death time. It didn't help.

With psychological help and my wife getting very mad at me and living someplace else now (I can't blame it all on Green Madexx)... I think I am passed looking for him unless I am just bored or in the area. Don't laugh.. I am not lying about it.

Started a camel run today...near Ruins of Ahmtul....found Madexx in Green. Pretty lucky considering its his only unique color now. Almost made me think the other four were removed...

I've seen red in the wild since the patch.

He's actually 6 - 24 hours. His camp is a hefty one. Almost as bad as TLPD.

Madexx is the one pet I refused to camp for. I just randomly kept checking late at night and eventually I found the colors I wanted. Took months to finally find them all though!

You're wise on that. Camping will only ensure you submit to Madexx Madness.

I was insanely lucky, as the first-and-only Madexx I ever saw after around two months or so of hunting for him was the exact color (Green) that I was searching for.

Spotted another brown one this morning at 11:30

Any time I've ever seen Madexx, if he's not brown, he's usually dead. The brown ones are always alive by time I find them. I had a green one that I named Henry, but he was the first I let go due to making room for MOP elites. By the way, any word on if they're going to add more stable slots for Mists?

As far as we've seen, no new stable slots.
