AoE Looting and Skinning Question

If a player AoE loots all the corpses, will the skinnable mobs from them be immediately available for skinning to other players? Or will it give the person that killed those mobs a chance to skin their kills before other skinners can have a crack at them? I ask because I may have to turn off AoE looting for my Skinners so that scavengers that frequent an area (Tol Barad swamps being a prime example) don't start ganking leather from me if they get to skin them immediately.

Im not sure, but thats something that worries me. I have a lot of griefers on my realm that just wait until you loot to try to start skinning.

Unfortunately, yes, they do become skinnable, at least unless it's changed in the past few weeks since I was on beta.
However, I -believe- you can disable AoE loot, though I could be mistaken.

I am not sure about disabling AoE looting, but you can turn off auto loot...
Would be nice if the game could tell if you had skinning, and then provide the "already tapped" error when someone else tries to skin your mobs...and mobs left unskinned after say 30sec become skinnable by other players.
