If you could change the last digit in my display name to a 8? When I put in my serial code after my copy from amazon showed up it changed to an 8 for some reason I cannot explain.

No worries, same thing happened to me actually! Mine went from 3 to 5 at the end.

Yes you can. You can "guest" someone from your server as well. You can do everything from personal story to PvP. The only thing you cannot do is WvW.
By the way... My main changed. >.> Nikolai Orion is now my main. Damn boy has attached himself to me.

Updated up to here.
I'm thinking it might be a bit superfluous to list character names when they aren't necessarily needed with the Real ID-esque contact name. I'm thinking of just taking out individual character names...what's everyone think?

Veph, that makes a lot of sense. With the way the display name is set up the character names are for the most part unnecessary. So go ahead and take them out.
