Tiny weapon

I don't believe I've seen another thread on this. If there is one, I apologize.

So I was taking a few screenshots of my Quilen mount last night and noticed something. It looked as if my crossbow wasn't displaying on my back. I panned the camera around and yup, it was there, just teensy. I dunno if it's just a Tauren thing (I was in Thunder Bluff to avoid the crowds in Orgrimmar and didn't see any other hunters in town to compare myself to), or if it affects all races.

Must be a crossbow thing? My mom was on her female draenei and the gun she had looked normal, and on my male draenei, my bow looked normal sized too.

Depends on the race of the hunter. Kalliope's got a few crossbows she can't use because they're massive on female humans, though they look normal on other races.

Only issue I've noticed so far is sometimes my bow wont show unless I unsheath/sheath it.

I've actually found that my Death Knight is half-sized in the loading screen! he's TINY too!!!

anyway, so far, all my weapons seem fine.. other than disappearing sometimes.

I think it's a combination of a) crossbows being much smaller than bows when back-sheathed (I noticed this on one of my worgen), and b) you're a tauren. Bug report it if you can.

Bows sure don't shrink, though. Nythaniel has the Sin'dorei longbow from Sunwell (not the legendary) and the thing is almost as big as he is.

Specifically, the one from heroic Utgarde Keep is huuuuuge! Final Voyage is big too.

Unfortunately, MogIt broke with the patch, so I can't easily pull a bunch of them offhand.

You got hat right about bows. My second hunter is only level 60 so he's still carrying the heirloom bow and dang that thing's huge.

I know a lot of people that play Hunters as Human Females that would love to have the problem you're having with crossbows And several of the guns for that matter.

Crossbows scale terribly for all races, up to 50% smaller and more. Also if you look closely, all guns also loose scale too, about 15-20%. I've not noticed it on any bows, but even the small reductions on the guns has made me move on from my gun to a bow with the patch.

I rather wonder if Blizz didn't just try to sneak a variation of the old shrunken Tauren weapons - http://wow.joystiq.com/2008/03/27/size- ... shrinkage/ - back into the game.

That looks a bit ridiculous. I don't have this problem with my bow on my worgen.
