Hello all, long time reader first time poster.

So I have been reading this forum for the last several weeks as I have begun my Aeonaxx camp. It has been an incredible help and inspiration. I especially enjoyed Vephriel's Aeonaxx post, it was incredibly detailed and I found myself rooting for her. I am happy she finally got the mount.

I have been camping for the last several weeks, and I typically do not camp on just one spot, I usually sit just outside the Stonecore so I can cover NW2 and both Southwest spots. That means that since I am not sitting on a specific spot I will probably never see Bloodseeker spawn. I should also mention that I am not new to camping. I camped TLPD on two characters successfully in WotLK.

So far, I have seen Aeonaxx 3 times, The first time someone flew by me on him while fighting him, I estimate I missed him by no more than 30 seconds. The second time I found the dead body of Aeonaxx, and the third time I missed him by less than a millisecond (literally clicking him at the same time as another person who got on the back).

Now I find myself sitting here in Deepholm for a minimum of 10-12 hours at least 4 days a week, when I am not working. I hope soon that I will not have to do this any longer, but I will forgo the MoP expansion if I have to in order to obtain this mount.

I will update this thread as often as my camping boredom allows, Thanks for all the inspiration and wish me luck.

Finally, Aeonaxx is down. Spawned at 3:48am, at NW2. Perfect because I was sitting at Stonecore entrance and had to fly quite a way to get to him. Needless to say I was shitting bricks the whole flight. I caught the fight on video, but not the flight to him because I was worried about getting there.

I am uploading a couple screen shots now and will post the video to Youtube soon. I will also post the link here.

Thanks for all the inspiration and well wishing on this guys. I am extremely happy to be done with Deepholm.

Hate the weekends for this camp, way to many people stacking on spawn points.

I work nights, so I much prefer to camp Aeonaxx on my days off between 3am and 6am on weekdays. Almost never anyone else in Deepholm then. Only problem is Aeonaxx is a stubborn bastard and never want to spawn at those times. He always spawns at like 10pm on a weeknight or in the middle of the day on the weekends.

Still nothing as of tonight, I am going to be giving it until about 4-5am.

Good luck! I'm camping him myself and have missed him 3 times in 2 weeks as well. Persistence has to pay off eventually, right??

I hope so. Missing Aeonaxx like that is extremely disheartening.

So I was reading somewhere, can't remember where, that Aeonaxx will always fly through point NW2 when he leaves with a player on his back no matter which point that player mounted him from. They said therefore the best places to camp is from where you can at least see NW2 so that if someone mounts him from somewhere else you will know to take a 6 hour break.

Can anyone confirm that?

Well that's gonna be it for me tonight. As I come to think of it I have only ever seen Aeonaxx once per week (or rather server reset), does anyone know if he typically spawns more than once a reset/week?

He can spawn consecutively... after all, it's like throwing a dice, bat or dragon (but dragon is much rarer). If you want to have a look at my journal, I saw 3 or four in a week? http://board.tlpdresource.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1374

Good luck It's horrible to see and miss him... but hopefully soon it will be yours!

Thank you, I appreciate that. I am back on the camp, I should be able to sit here until around 6 or 6:30am. That will give me a good 17 hours or so today. Unfortunately I go to work tomorrow for 4 days of 12 hour shifts so that will severely limit my camping for those days.

Still nothing today. 5 hours in.

Good luck! I just finally got him, after camping him on and off the whole expac.

Don't know any other advice that you probably haven't already heard. But with my sightings of him the past few days, I know it can be under 24 hours, unlike the 7 days that was stated way back when.

Well, it's been ~72 hours since I last saw him. Still going at it.

This is like the worst time for him to spawn as well, since there are so many stackers right now; which of course means if he is going to spawn he will do it shortly. LOL.

Ok so its a little after 1am here. Still no sign of him all day, I have about 5 more hours before I have to go to sleep. Hopefully some magic works for me as I am about to go on a 4 day 12 hour shift which will suck for camping.

Well, that's all for me today. No sign of Aeonaxx. I guess I will camp after my work week. I will chime in on the boards between now and then I am sure.

Thank you, unfortunately though on my extremely high pop server there really is no way to avoid stackers. All I can hope is that at 4am-6am he spawns when there are only 15-20 people in Deepholm.

Anyway, I am at work now. Camped today for an hour before work and might get an hour after but this work week is gonna be long.

Logged in for another hour after work. No go on Aeonaxx. Will try again later today before I go back to work.

I got mine in the early morning, I believe it was the western - eastern spire. He was just flying around in a circles.

Good to know. I logged in shortly before coming in to work. Nothing there, will try again after work tonight.
