Popping in from the wilds of Moon Guard to give a heads' up that Madexx now has a unique sound file. I miss the charming chirpiness of the classic scorpids, but hopefully the Kel'Thuzad crab imitation that is Madexx's new voice will....I don't know, scare PvPers.

I haven't tested the sound files for the "common" version of the Madexx skins yet, heading to Molten Front to snoop now.

Edit - Yep, the new file is unique to the Madexx model, both common and rare varieties. Really miss that happy chirp. :s

I honestly like this new sound. I admit, I'm gonna miss that nostalgic little chirp (Especially since one of my all-time favourite pets WAAAAAY long ago was one of the old Corrupted Scorpids from Durotar.. Ahh memories.. <3), but I think I'll get used to the new sound for my little Madexx quickly enough. It's sorta charming, in a way. <3

I miss the old scorpid sounds, but I like that Madexx has his own voice. It's very masculine on my Perseus. <3

I like the new voice. Now they need to stop his walk from sounded like hooves.

My green Madexx doesn't make any sounds? What am I listening for?

I must try this. Ananke is a very feminine scorpion (named after the greek goddess) so it might be akward to hear a manly chirp from such a sensitive critter >_>

._. took me all of Cataclysm to get her and i may very well have to tame the common skin instead.

At least you have the option. Those of us with green Madexx don't have a choice! (Which works out for me personally, since that was one of my very very few true impulse tames on my main and I don't want to be tempted to change him.)

Just remember that your scorpid is your scorpid inside, no matter what external changes there are.

Meh... this doesn't make me happy. I feel like it doesn't really fit the personality of my Madexx... but I suppose I'll get used to it. =/

Hmmmmm not sure what to think. The adorable chirruping was a really sweet thing to hear coming out of an armoured beastie with claws and a stinger. I don't dislike the new sound but I don't know if I like it more yet.

At first to try out the sound I targeted and killed a Stormwind rat. Moving on I found a Pug running around called Critho or something. I targeted that purely to hear the new Scorpid sounds and sent in my blue Madexx.
Don't do it. That pug one hit KO'd both me and my Maddles. ;.;

So I don't get the title is this about the cata skin vs the vanilla one having differnt sounds? I'm lost :S
