Just spotted this on Wowhead: the opening quest chain in Jade Forest offers weapon rewards that use models from Tournament of Champions. Many of them are copies of items that were available from the special chest you got for doing the 'hard mode' challenge of clearing the instance without a death, including the ranged weapon reward, which is a copy of the BRK 1000. That weapon, the Airship Marine's Sharpshooter, is shown below on the left. Hordies get the Spare Gunship Cannon, on the right.

Not me--I used to have The Diplomat (same shape as the BRK-1000 but slightly different colors), but vendored it years ago. I'm happy to see that model come back, since ToC is pretty much unsoloable.

and it's still alliance only?

Will be nice to see that maybe more people can have a chance to make some nifty transmogs with it.

One other little point of interest about this particular model is that is has a very unique animation to it unlike any other.



As seen in the picture, it has a flash fire/flare that erupts out of the barrel upon firing which is uniqure to the model.
I'm not 100% sure that this Airship Marine's Sharpshooter will have the same, but as it is technically the same model and skin as the BRK-1000 H, my guess is it will. Just a nice little touch that makes it stand out.

Sadly, I'm not sure if the horde version of this gun has the same firing animation, but from what I've read, it doesn't seem to.

Aw, no, I don't think the Horde one has anything special when it fires. Still neat enough!

Oh bugger, however I personally think that the hand mounted cannon for the horde model one seriously awesome looking gun. Especially when being wielded by our Tauren brethren, the cannon is almost life size, it's freaking epic.

thats pretty awesome... ironicly i just did 10 man heroic TOC and the cannon dropped Horde side now i have all the ranged weaps i want from wow except thor dal but i cant xmog it

I'll gladly give ya mine if you can get Broodlord Lashlayer to drop the ****ing Heartstriker. Last Tuesday, DBM told me I had 40 kills for him. That's 40 weeks of not seeing that damn bow drop, and it's a bigger PITA now since they fixed the glitch with Razorgore in 5.0.4 so that I can't solo him and have to bribe a friend each week to smash eggs for me.

I want that cannon so bad, wish I could get it on alliance, I'd solo that instance every week!!

OMG! I wish I could trade mine! I'm 0 for 23 on my gun, and your status is WAY more unluckier!
We should cross-realm it sometime and maybe it'd juke the random number generator a little... uh, faction-allowing, anyway (horde).
