Currently, I'm able to change my pets' specs whenever I want without needing to visit a pet trainer. I just pick a spec and hit 'Learn'. Love it, but is it intended?

Yup, you can change them whenever needed as long as you're out of combat.

Such a great change. And we can respec ourselves that way too!

I don't think we can change specializations without visiting a trainer, can we? (going from Survival to BM for example) We can do this for pets, but I don't think it works for the hunter themselves.

Individual talents, yeah we can swap those on the fly out in the field when out of combat.

We can change specs and talents out in the field. I think if you wanted to totally get rid of one specialization you'd have to see a trainer.

I'm guessing that they allowed pets to change spec anywhere when out of combat due to Stampede, since a lot of people complained that they use one pet specced Tenacity for soloing, and then that they'd be stuck with it as that spec if they enter a dungeon or raid they where queued in. This would also have forced people to use the glyph. This way when you enter the dungeon or raid, you just change your pet's spec to Ferocity and no more problems with Stampede!

Not sure they can be spec-swapped in BG's though...I tried just after rezzing in Arathi, and got a 'you can't do that right now.'
