I noticed something today, with 5.0.4 they changed the wonderful blue eyes of the Black War Wolf mount into greenish-blue. Same thing with the wolf pet that use the same model.
This is the original colour:

It's not a light thing, since if you look at the mount in the panel the colour is the new one...

Now: why?? The old colour was so beautiful (that shade of blue is my favourite so far), why was there a need for this change? Why did they even touch the mount?

I know it's a little little issue, but that was really uncalled for.

Huh. Seems odd they would change it. But it's only a slight change from blue to greenish-blue so I can't really see it as a big deal.

I loved the blue.

I do like that blue color...why can't they change some of the stupid red/yellow eyes that are on EVERYTHING?! ;-;

Such a small change is pointless to be perfectly honest, While it looks slightly different a vast majority will not notice.

They did it to the Frostwolf Howler too (if it had blue eyes before, ive only had the wolf on 2 chars previously so i never spent enough time with it to see) but yea, its actually fairly striking when it hits you. Not liking this one bit. As usual with all the changes blizz has been making behind peoples backs like sound files and run animations. This was a change that was not necessary nor to my knowledge, ever asked for by the player base.

I like the new eyes better. Found the old ones kinda ugly.

I do really like the new color, but the change is very odd. There doesn't seem to be any real reason behind it. O.o

Have you looked at it in different lighting? Could it be an after effect of the new lighting system? Ogrimmar has always been a little yellowish to me-blue + yellow = green after all.

Oh hey.. guess what..* ALL the armored riding worgs have the green eyes now, including the spectral. Doesnt match the brown and grey models in the slightest, and the spectral seems just weird now. Just.. ugh.. seriously >_< They were fine as they were before. I wish they'd at least ask the player base first and let them decide, for everything they've been changing without stating that they were thinking of doing it.

The spectral one looks fine to me :/

With the eyes being a different tint then before, they look very out of place when you view it in-game. Cause of the natural glow the wolf gives for being spectral and transparent, the glow of the eyes is so strong now cause it no longer blends with the wolf that the eyes look physically solid and its just wrong

I don't agree but to each their own.

I had a look in-game too and I'm afraid I have to disagree as well. While the change seems odd and unnecessary, I don't think the new glows look out of place at all.

Huh, that's really strange. I'm thinking it wasn't intended personally.

I also like the new colour, but the old one was much better! But if many wolves now have that colour it could be a bug (like the treant one that occurred several patches ago, all the treants ingame had the same colour) - let's hope for that!

Edit; I checked and every swift wolf mount has that colour now - it has to be a bug, all other 'swift' mounts have different glows.
