So as allot of you guys know I am BIG into guns and hunting...well today at sportsmen warehouse I saw this series called "Little Jake". They were basicly books about this boy hunting and killing animals. I guess to teach kids sportsmanship in hunting, but IDK.

I don't see it as a bad thing really. I mean there are books that teach kids that eating meat it evil so yeah to each their own? I mean if a parent wants to buy it for their kids I don't see it as a bad thing.

Anti-hunters have become very effective at targeting children with negative propaganda about hunting. Many liberal school teachers in this country are against hunting and can have a persuasive effect on youth.
I roll my eyes at language like this.

It's real? I actually thought it was a parody site. I mean they even made Little Jake look like a creepy inbred stereotype. And ethics aside, teaching a child it's ok to take a gun and go off into the wild alone and shoot at one of the most potentially dangerous animals on earth? That plus the kind of disturbing twist on turning a classic children's title into a book about shooting bears... seems like an Onion parody to me ;)

Even if it isnt lets be real, kids these days are dumb. No amount of adult intervention is gunna change that. Ya do the best you can but when I see a 11 year old walk into my place of work with her face plastered in make-up and wearing shrot shorts I roll my eyes. I dont hunt but I know people who do and I know a guy who took his son on his first hunt at age 10. Some people would frown on that but then again some people frown on giving your child soda or a little bit of candy. Either or its the parents decision not yours and when you take away the parents right to raise their children as they feel right then you are taking away their rights. You may shake your head or go why would you buy your kid that? Well thats your opinion. When a child turns into a young adult that is when THEY have a say in what they do but until then they're under their parents rule, I'm not super strict nor do I believe in it but I do believe if kids these days had a little bit more discipline we wouldnt have so many little hooligans running around.
