Can view the nifty enchants there. I wonder which one the hunter will use.

Q: Wrathion constantly claims that he is the last black dragon, but what of Sabellian and the other black dragons in Outland (and even the Netherwing)? Did Wrathion somehow have them killed, or is he ignorant of their existence?
A: Wrathion states, “To my knowledge, I am the only black dragon who remains.” Thankfully, Wrathion is not omniscient, and he is simply ignorant of the dragons beyond the Dark Portal. Both the black dragons under his elder half-brother Sabellian and the Netherwing flight remain in Outland. There is also the possibility that some black dragons on Azeroth have managed to evade Wrathion’s detection as well.

Thank you Blizz! Now I can tell people who give me flack about Melanthia still living to shove it! I tried to before but they never believed me when I pointed out the black dragons in Outland and the Netherwings. Squee! *dances with joy*

I imagine any of them on Azeroth live looking over their shoulder, though. Wrathion does not seem particularly...forgiving.

Indeed. Granted, that's possible to change in the future, of course.

Possibly. Wrathion's the only entirely untainted black dragon in millenia, though...as far as we know (to be fair, due to Sabellian I didn't realize the corruption was THAT widespread until the Badlands chain--maybe the Outlands flights are less affected due to being more removed). He may view others, that carry that taint, as a threat...or he might not care, now that he's broken the vast majority of them. Due to his insistence on his own independence, it's difficult to say!

You are correct on the Outland thing. The black dragons in Outland are free of the whispers from the Old Gods. but should they ever step through the portal, those whispers will likely be heard again. For Mel, she's built a resistance(it's still not easy but she's around Sabellian's age). She's trying to resist it all together and use her black magic to resist more.

I've been asking about Sabellian forever. He's Deathwings third child and I fully expected him to show up in 4.3 at some point. Most people were like "who?"... Clearly never done Blades Edge quest line.

I dont know all the mythology you guys are talking about but I do have a question.

Those weapon enchants? They are all for melee weapons.

....... Where is the range weapon enchant for hunters?

No more melee stat-stick means no more weapon enchants. We just have scopes now.

I should have remembered that. I really should have, as my main is an engineer. I've just been so focused on leveling my shadow priest tailor/enchanter that my first thought was: 'wait there are no bow enchants?'

And my enchanter doesn't even have them now so why I thought she would have them in the future is beyond me.

Yeah, I've already been grumping about that. At least we can get away, unlike melee, so it's less problematic overall.

And even though we don't have a choice, at least we're not taking a dps loss.

Still....I wish we could choose. >_<

I for one, will miss the shiny pretty lights those enchants bring. Have they given any idea/preview of the scopes we will have? Do we get any shininess?

I believe scopes have turned up on Wowhead previews and such. I don't believe any shiny effects, though.

Aww, I'll almost miss randomly flinging small animals at my enemies.

I don't think they will, if we're getting scopes. The descriptors for all of these distinctly lack any mention of ranged attacks, and none of them have passive stat bonuses that wouldn't have to be triggered by them.

I haven't seen any scopes personally yet. I'm sure they'll pop up sooner or later.

That's still sad, regardless. There was the occasional black dragon in Azeroth I rather tolerated. Nalice and whatshisface in DB come to mind. And pfft I figured most of the OL blacks were dead as well, if only because I actually don't remember seeing any alive and about, just a bunch spiked up on the walls of BEM and the Netherwing, who I don't count as black dragons anyways.

I loved his quest line When I'm leveling someone I always make sure to do it.

Me too! It's one of the best ones in the game in Outland, imho.
