Part of my wonders if I need to do a certain amount of quests in Hyjal before I am able to see Ban'thalos when he spawns. So far, I've been parked on this tree top for 9hrs...getting just a little...bored, worried?...Either that or this sharp branch has just been poking me somewhere uncomfortable and its making me edgy...
"Flames from above" and "Protect the world tree" are the only quest I have for Hyjal atm.

I do have Ban'thalos (aka Lifestream) on my main hunter, but...need to move him over to my other hunter to make a bit more room on my main...After Lifestream joins my WrA hunter, then she can go find Strife (Sambas). And my Main will have enough room for her MoP list...

Nope, you won't be able to see him. You need to free the four guardians before you can see Banny/start getting Hyjal dailies.

...there REALLY should be a note about that on Ban'thalos' thing...all it said was that he flies very VERY high...

Yeah it's not too bad of a grind- put on some good music and remember that you'll be looking for an awesome bird in the very near future! I do agree though there aren't enough clear notes about it, mostly a jumble of responses from random people.

It was widely known back in 4.2, when the 10 rares were added, but yes, it should be on his thread as well. :/

tossed a suggestion about the questing over on the corrections page, hopefully spare anyone else from that.

You need to complete the hyjal quests until the quest ''Aesina's Miracle'' or something like that, after that the regrowth it's available. You don't need to complete all the quests!

Do the quests up to aessina's miracle(or however it's spelled) and the regrowth will get plants etc. Then do the quests given by the druids where ban'thalos spawns until elementals spawn in the regrowth, the big malorne stag statue will have begome friggin alive and stuff for this to happen. After having done this I was able to see ankha magria and banny. I got a quest called "calling for reinforcements" but didn't complete it for them to spawn.

well, I just freed the wolf spirit, and am now in that underground portal place with the twilight cults and the fire elementals, off to go kill the big bad elemental guy...so, still a long ways off...see if I cant breeze through at lv 85 since the mobs are pretty weak against me and Darknation(gazzy)-tank.

Breakthrough
Lost Wardens
The hammer and the Key

And Firelands invasion quest: Caught unawares

-Flight in the Firelands quest- is currently broken (submitted bug report on it)

There is now a Malorn statue visible to me.

Is that far enough along or do I still need to go further?

Edit: Have quests the third flame gate, and the sanctuary must not fall, Right after seeing the cut scene of Malorn coming alive, like Right after, boom NPC_scan goes off and guess who's up and visible?

Got my Lifestream on my other hunter now YAY!!
