Hello , I keep bumbing on videos showing a spirit beast tiger tamed by hunters in MOP beta but there are no information to my knowledge here.

There are 4 animal spirits which are NPCs and god figures in Pandaria.

The spirit tiger is summoned as an ability by monks, so that's what you are seeing, not a hunter pet.

There are no spirit beasts or tameable versions of any of the models.

The Spirit Beast Tiger Model is Invoke Xuen, the White Tiger a level 90 talent from the Monk Class. The Yak is a Boss level NPC that is friendly. Both in which are untameable.

It's already been quietly announced that the first Spirit Beasts won't be in until 5.1. And no one's sure what they look like at all yet. Patience, and all shall be revealed in time!

Shas are incredibly spammy and loud. They also have a tendency to punch people in the face. I don't think you REALLY want to tame a Sha.

Maybe we'll get counterparts to the animal god models. From what I've read about the August Celestials, they act similar to Loa and the Ancients, being a primal force helping protect their land. Both Loa and the Ancients have mates, Malorne/Elune, Aviana/Blaithe, Harkoa/Loque'nahk.

The later of the group proposes that similar species can be tamed by hunter. I'd be extatic to take me a spirit Yak! Maybe I'm reaching, but a guys gotta dream right?

True, and they could also just do a small change to the colour to make it different enough to not be Xuen, and a potential Mate/Spirit Beast.



Though I have a prickly feeling the 1st Spirit beast may be something entirely different.

True, and would be most welcome, but given Blizzards track record, they tend to lean towards using existing models as opposed to creating new ones.

That said however, the god spirit models would be an amazing addition. I'm partial to the Yak honestly, an excuse to have one. I'd like to imagine a downsized jade serpent too. Lol.

Anyway, until otherwise stated, I'm still taking FITE SPIRIT PORCUPINE FITE as "The next spirit beast is a porcupine."

MoP has not even begun yet, not even mentioning it getting close to an end. We've been told that with 5.1 and further patches massive changes will touch Pandaria as a consequence of our actions. Who knows, maybe one of them would hurt the 4 animal-gods so that they'll become a tameable spirits? Or whatever other plot twist you can think of that would make a spirit beast or two appear around there.

If they give us all in 5.0, what else will they have left to add later? Just think of 4.2 and the tames it brought... maybe we'll get more in a later patch this time, too?

It's been officially confirmed that 5.1 brings the rare silkworm and spirit beasts of the expansion.

I really really realy really want a non-cat SB esp if it is modelled after an untamable beasts
