Reserved Name Woes...Or Not?

Somebody stop me. Too late.
I'm actually considering using a semi-randomly accented name.
Reason being...I started liking the idea of this particular name as a name change for my mage, and might have gotten a wee bit attached while waiting for the ticket response (as it was on a character that had no Armory page). And I don't think the accent I'd use would actually change the 'correct' pronunciation much, so I wouldn't feel as bad ignoring it...agh. I'm so torn.
Anzhela vs. Khaleesí vs. something else...?
Edit: Okay, Khaleesí it is. I was idling on the placeholder toon I'd made while I thought it over, and a random guild invite came in. The reaction to my response was priceless. I lol'd and fell in love with this name.

Not as if people take pronunciation into account when they make character names. Though I'm one of the few who makes fun of those who use a certain German character that looks like a B. I like to mutilate their name by spelling out the double s instead of putting in a B.
But it's a nice name anyway :3

LOL, I do the same thing all the time.
There was a Rogue named ßackstaßßer... and I kept calling him Ssackstasssser. He kept asking why the hell I was writing his name that way. It was hysterical, because surprisingly, I wasn't alone in getting the joke.

Yeah, I tried to look for something that wouldn't affect the pronunciation to that degree.

the accent 'B' is actually pronounced with Ss? I thought it was F...

I got a druid whos name (i pulled it out from my brain too so it ticks me off its so beloved >:|) has the accent 'B' on a couple servers. Cause i thought it was F i was alright with people calling him Baith or Faith but lol Ssaith sounds so weird xD Cool though, but weeeeeeird.

There was a blood elf named Faßulous on my server who was very talkative in trade chat. Eventually everyone in trade chat would spell his name as Fassulous and he would get so mad at them.

Oh, no, it's definitely a double s sound. xD So ss. It was the... P? I think? That was the F sound. I forgot :/ I only took German for 3 months.

Huh. I wonder if that's the same one that was on Argent Dawn a while back. Same thing happened to him in our trade chat. We also used to have someone with a character named ßoss who'd get ticked about being called Ssoss.

I minored in German- the B is a double ss, and pf and v are an F sound, and w is a v sound.

There's a gnome on my server named that, and we always used to call him Fassulous too.
I also get a major giggle out of anyone named things like Ssloodlust, Ssloodssath, or pretty much Sslood anything.
Sslood is just funny. Say it ia few times! SSLOOOD!!!! SSLOOD FOR THE SSLOOD GOD. (I tend to pronounce it like 'slewd'.)

I'm German and that's not completely right. In standard German, the "pf" is supposed to be pronounced as a combination of those two letters, the "p" isn't silent. There are, however, some local accents where people pronounce it as simply "f". (Much to the amusement of everyone else, as e.g. pronouncing "Pferd" (horse) as "Ferd" sounds a bit silly.

)
OT: Like others, I don't mind accents or special letters if they're used correctly. Partly because playing on EU servers you meet people from many different cultural backrounds and they may simply use their own language for names. Nothing wrong with that. I personally don't use special characters because they look out of place for me in game, probably because NPC names don't use them (at least in the English version, which I play).
