So I rolled a panda hunter. Looking forward to 10 when I could ditch the turtle (which I'm not fond of, skin wise) and grab a crane. Because cranes are awesome.

This is what happened to my crane upon taming...


Now I realize lv10 pets are small and all that but... seriously? XD I think the green crane mini-pet is bigger than my new companion!

Yep! The cranes from the Wandering Isle have had that bug for a while. I adore it, myself. ♥ I intended to tame my white crane, Shodo, on the Wandering Isle and then re-tame him as an Ink-Tipped Crane later so he could grow up with me in a way. Now... well, now he's literally going to grow up! He's a precious little hatchling. I'm in love.

I admit, I missed the tiny beetle being tiny. This is almost as good. XD

Are you by chance out of the starting zone? Do you still have your crane? I heard that there was a bug that caused you to lose the pet you tamed and end up back with the turtle after picking a faction

Yup it is rea;y tiny hence why I adore mine so much

I am, and my crane is still present and tiny.

I'm so glad that the crane remains tiny. I hoped it would, but I never levelled a pandaren beyond the starting zone on the beta. Thanks for letting us know!

When I went to make my panda hunter I noticed this too I hoped that they had fixed it but I guess not just like chibee who is still a gigantic worm :p

Anyways I can't stand small pets for some reason and so I couldn't keep him I took the orange tiger instead, because I'm twinking though I was hoping for a more unique pet but I just can't stand the size

green crane mini-pet?

Oddly the crane isn't tiny before it's tamed. I just fished this pic out of the beast list thread on the beta forum. It shows the tamed crane attacking the wild version of the same beast. It shrinks dramatically!



I found him very cute though I wouldn't expect it'll remain that way but it's fun to run around with

I thought about getting the tiger, but then figured it'd be basically useless until almost the time I could tame one that was in a color I wanted more (mastery is worthless/nonexistent to lowbies), so I went for the crane.

But yes, I'm well out of the starter area and he's still with me and still teeny.

Here's another comparison shot. They really do shrink dramatically.

Pity only those specific birds in that specific area have that odd effect.

Not that I don't love my precious Fujian as he is, mind you, but it's a bit of a shame only newbie pandas get this fun quirk.
