I am not sure if this goes here and I apologize if it does not but I need help with an answer. I'm planning on getting the black cloud serpent from Townlong Steppe (I know I still have a long way to go to get there) as I wish to get it for my newest character. My question is can alts who know the level 60 flying ride on the cloud serpents? I've read so many different forums and I'm very confused. Thank you for the quick reply!

Sadly no, as you need the Cloud Serpent riding skill to ride said mounts...it sucks, but basically only level 90s can ride 'em :<

Oh, really? T.T Has anyone tested to see if alts can ride? I'm working my way to 90 and I can see if my level 85 hunter can ride, but if someone beats me to it, let me know!

I haven't gotten there yet, but that's what I remember reading. You get the skill from finishing the Cloud Serpent dailies if I remember right.

How long does one need to do the dailies... cause i saw someone yesterday happily buzzing around in Karasang Wilds on the pink and orangish-red cloud serpent happy as can be, and saw someone link a learned cloud serpent chat link into general some point earlier that day in Valley of Four Winds

I think it's mostly just a matter of collecting the eggs, much like the Netherwing grind. So it depends how lucky you are and how long you want to egg hunt.

that sounds like it MAY have been the one that drops from the rare dragon. (kind of the time lost/aeonaxx of mop) I'm sure that by now someone has found a way to exsalted by furious grinding too. Also some are drops from bosses. (i know a 5 man drops a jade one and a world boss can drop another. think its a black one with lightning.) untill we have more lvl 90s to test things out we will suffer from a lack of info on this kind of thing. :/

This is astronomically unlikely. MoP hasn't even been out a week and the drop rate is VERY low on the 10 items needed.

Im going through the cloud serpent colors, i think i thought i saw the pinky sunset one accidently since Mishi is that color and you ride Mishi around a few times. It was probably the golden one i saw and mistook it for Mishi's color

My friend already got Alani, so yes it is possible.

Lucky. I got one of the skyshards last night and got super excited lol.

But Im really not wanting to do this grind on every alt I have... I love these mounts but Idk lol
