Ok, so this expansion Blizzard has decided to try something new with their rare spawns it seems. They only take a couple of hours to respawn, but to compensate they don't drop the vanity item every time. Fair enough, or so you'd think. I've been after the Mr. Smite's Compass item that Yorik drops. Me and a friend have now killed him 8 or 9 times; the first time he dropped the Compass and my friend won. Every time after that, no Compass. EVERY .. TIME. It's getting pretty silly at this point, and as more and more people get to 90 and start questing in the Vale I'll only be able to kill him very occasionally. There isn't really anything else to say; I just wanted to vent xD

Another kill, another cloak, another lack of Compass.

Don't feel bad. I'm at something rediculous like 20 kills and still no compass. 15 or so Karr the Darkener and still no Grinder, either.

It could be that the game is detecting the compass in your friend's possession and thusly removing it from the loot table.

No drops for me either; it's not just you, unfortunately.

He *finally* dropped it again at around kill number 15. Good luck to everyone in getting it; he is obviously really really stingy
