spirit beasts ...tamable or no?

i went out today and camped for 5 hours only to find that Skoll is no longer tamable. i took a 10 month break from wow to focus on rl. but came back to have a bit of fun in MOP. so i can verify that Skoll is no longer tameable. will see about the other LOK ones. its now 255 am and found the spirit bear by amberpine lodge arcturis. untamable. so all the lich king pets are untamable.

Which spec are you in? Spirit Beasts are Exotic pets and so only Beast Master specced hunters can tame them.

are you specced as "beastmastery? if not, they are effectively all "untameable".
if you are specced as beastmastery, then there is no issue.

I don't think you were in the right spec, m'dear. ^^; As said above, Spirit Beasts are exotic and you need to be a Beastmaster to tame him. Marksman and Survival hunters cannot tame him.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this but.... maybe you were in the wrong spec

i was in my right spec perhaps it was just a bug .
im mm/beast had my core hound with me.

Skoll is still tameable. You were either not in BM, or you already had 5 pets with you. or it was a bug.

I just caught him today on my alt...so he is still tameable

Well, you need to actually have your Beastmaster spec as your active spec. You need to have your current pet dismissed, and you need to have a free slot on you to tame

1. Did you make sure you re-specced after the talents changed?
2. You said you had your core hound with you... are you sure you didn't have it out? You can't tame a pet when you have an active pet.
3. You said you're MM/BM, you made sure you were set as BM main spec, right?
4. Silly question, as you said you had a core hound... but you are at least 69 right?
5. Did you have 5 pets with you, or did you have an empty stable slot available?

I'm afraid you're right. Spirit beasts have been removed from the game. The entire family is retired and will never be tameable again.
