Running around on my little goblin hunter yesterday, I discovered while questing at the Jade Temple that the spawned Bookworm mobs are, in fact, tamable. On their entry in the pet list on the main Petopia page, they're marked as untamable. Only thing to note is that, once tamed, your new pet will still trigger the highlighted glove pointer icon until you either dismiss it and resummon it or turn in the quest that allowed you to spawn the bookworms in the first place. I wish I'd thought to take a screenshot...it never occurred to me that the bookworms might be untamable until well after the fact, when I checked the silkworm section of Petopia.

I think someone else made a topic about them being tameable. I forget which one though. I just remember them talking about how the bookworm could be squished still. XD
