As many of you probably know, this boss wolf is a lighter recolor of Skoll but that's not the catch. This wolfy swings a giant sword in an arc and does quite a ton of damage. Now its easy to dodge the attack but when I killed it, the giant sword was still attached to the wolf. Unfortunately it is lvl91 so it cannot be tamed within this expansion but do you guys think taming this in the near future would keep that epic sword? Now if Blizz hadnt hotfixed the appearance buff method or so someone claims in another thread do you think we could walk away with such a nice wolf?

The appearance buff method of taming was fixed quite some time ago, so it's unlikely that he'll ever be tameable with the sword unless something major changes.

I kinda doubt it. Wallclimbing and trick taming are two totally different bugs.

Going back to the OP, "taming this in the near future" isn't happening, Melissa. Even if a bug was reintroduced, it's unlikely to happen anytime soon, if ever.

Although in answer to the OP's second question, if the method hadn't been fixed, then sure, at 91, it would have been possible. But it was removed, so it's not.

Didnt want to bump an old topic but now that I c that new kill/tame revive method works somewhat maybe this could be possible in the near future as long as it isnt removed again. I dont really remember on the top of my head but this thing might have had a buff that gave it the sword. I think it died with the sword attached too. Who knows maybe this is the next perma death pet?

We're a long way before we will be able to tame Cracklefang, sword or no sword. If MoP runs until at least 5.4, we're still looking at over a year till next expansion comes out.

They will most likely just keep him listed as untameable.
