They appear to be in addition to existing gryphons and wyverns, not a replacement (if someone could confirm this when this build gets onto the PTR, that would be wonderful).

There's also 4 colors for the Kirin...so definitely not a blizzstore mount (didn't think it would be, wasn't shiny enough). Those gryphons look nice tho, wonder if they'll be part of all the pvp stuff in the new patch.

Well it says they are for new mounts so I don't think they are replacements for the old mounts.

I'm not reading too much into multiple colors. There are still unused colors for hippogryphs, after all... *whines and drools at the pink/lavender hippogryph*

I meant unused as in 'unused for us.' >.> Most of them are used by NPC's in some form, I think!

For once, I like the Wyvern a LOT more than the gryphon. The gryphon is… That beak. o.o And those soulless eyes. Plus the wings look really weird… Not my thing at all! It doesn't fit the Alliance. Maybe the Vyrkul…

The wyvern, on the other hand, looks fabulous. The holes in the wings and those giant horns really make it look like a symbol of the Horde.

Still, I'm glad they at least made new models! Nice to see.

The wyvern is just gorgeous, especially seeing the flight animations. Hopefully in the future they revamp all the wyvern models, but I'm just happy to get at least one new style.

I think the skin suits a new "grander" mount better that the basic ones. A bit too epic for a basic mount IMO XD

I can finally mourn the complete loss of the abomination that was my old cat form.

The Gryphon wings are a bit dicey as well, the primary and secondary feathers shouldn't be splitting that much if they wanted to use slots Oo

I dunno. MMO Champ says it's a revamp...which usually means update.

Means they're replacing the old ones with the new plus adding two more.

Hmm. Well, ANYTHING is an improvement over the old wyvern. The new skin does look nice, though I could do without the slightly ridiculous horns. I do think I'll be sticking with regular gryphons, though. I'm not so fond of their update.

Updating the OLD faction mounts, plus adding two more. Which I edited in my post to say.

If these are in the next build whenever the hell the PTR notices it, I'll dig out my TBC art book to compare the armor as dude it's so stylish I'm still gleeing over how badass the Wyvern looks (As well as mocking my old cat form in the process). I'm hoping to replace, they are old and dated and have long needed it. Just like how even the NE cat was shedloads better that later ended up crosseyed ended up better for it.

Wow. It’s nice to see them with a slightly more believable wingspan. I hope that blizz will slowly start replacing all the old world models with updated ones. I know some people like their boxy mounts and pets. (I happen to love my box faced moonsaber) but I think its about time Blizz started to update some of the older stuff in wow.
I’m loving the new look. Not a fan of the strange horns and beard on the wyvern. The beak and feathers on the gryphon could use a small tweak too. besides that I think they did a great job. I hope I can snag a new gryphon for myself in the future.
