I have two mount grails: Invincible and Onyxia

I can solo Ony on my DK, and I have a fellow guildie who is 'tanking' for my priest (Soph) after I said I'd drop him 20k if the mount dropped for his trouble of helping me. It's being good, we've gotten some achievements for him in there as well at least.

Beginning to think I should level my Hunter (currently level 25 - >.<) so I have an extra character I can farm her on.

47 x kills to date on Soph
14 x kills to date on my DK
65 kills total (4 on my paladin, but I don't actively do it on her until someone will tank for me as she's a holy pally and not sure how I could handle the first big whelp pack on her).

How many kills did it take for others? Are you also hunting her? I don't mind this turning into an Ony-hunting thread at all, so feel free to join me in my Ony-hunting Diary XD



She is a gorgeous drake, hopefully soon I will see this gorgeous thing drop and make me one very, very, very happy chicka.

I actually just transferred the toons from my 2nd account to my main over the weekend. So until 5.1 hits and I can enter without a group, I doubt I'll be farming her again for a bit. You just made me /face palm when I realized what I did though.

I do off and on, have yet to see the mount at all. Honestly I don't even know how many kills I've got either. xD

I found out the kills by looking at my Armory page and bugging it a bit:

- us.battle.net - look up your Character's Armory page
- Go to "Achievements"
- Change the tab up the top from "Achievements" to "Statistics"
- On the right, go to "Dungeons & Raids"
- Select "Classic"
- Select "Dungeons & Raids" again

This will then populate the list with *every* Dungeon and Raid boss kill. That is how I found out my Onyxia number. Also gawked a little at how many times I had killed Skadi to never see the blue proto drake just on Soph (let alone also adding in my DK & Paladin to help out) on a daily basis.

LOL Enika - that's awesome Shows your dedication to mount collecting for sure! I only have the one account, but I'm working on my hunter to bring her up so I can use her as a solo-ing toon as well to help with Ony/KT etc I planned to just cap her at 25 for awhile to get some of the Battleground/PvP achievements, but eh, figured I can always make another hunter on another realm and do that =P Mount's come first!

Yeah Skadi was a bastard...I farmed heroics with 3 toons and also did many solo runs with two of them and FINALLY got him a month or two ago. I'll go see if I can get my stats.

You can do the same thing in game from the achi window, lock has killed ony 20 times...one would have been in reg. I never did it when it was relevant and revamped...just in vanilla. But we had no stats then so it wouldn't have counted the 54387589347574 kills from way back. XD

My druid is the one i go on the most recently...she probably has at least what my lock does.

Ah nice, grats on Skadi XD I'll have to start up farming him again, took a break from him while leveling my priest and my DK up. I've popped into Vortex a few times, found out I can solo that easily on my priest in Shadow now (no gear, just do it in my healing gear )

Another fresh week for Ony though, here is hoping.

But I'm devestated, another year and no Horse from HH I hate holiday mounts in that regard. I got the Brewfest ram in my first bag last year, but never seen the Kodo. Only got my DK to run through the last HH - Soph was unlucky with it this morning.

I did get Skyshard #2 last night though - so something to keep me going a little bit.

Same, I actually saved all my tokens and purchased my ram (back in the day when one could) but I have never seen a ram or a kodo drop for me... ever. And every year I have farmed it every day while its available.

I really wish they made the mounts BOE or something, at least that way even if you had some seriously bad luck you could still try and obtain one from someone lucky enough to get extras.

After this year I was not even surprised, I'm just that numb from not seeing it drop.

I wish you the best of luck. A friend and I had leveled multiple 85s to 2m Ony, Maly and Kael. So far Maly is the only one off farm, and on my high pop server I've only seen 4-5 different people wih her. Best of luck with farming! She is a gem to be sure. ^_^

Ran a few Vortex Pinnacles - no luck

Still got Soph to run Ony/KT etc on. I keep having this itching feeling *something* is due to drop, I even grabbed a long-time WoW friend and demanded he grabbed his hunter and we run Kara to do Midnight because that itch was so strong, but no pony for him.

Spiritbinder - I agree!! A friend of mine had THREE... *THREE* drop for him last year! O.o If they were BoE at least we could trade/buy them from people or something. Although I imagine the price for them would be something insane. But still... at least the Easter mount we can farm eggs for to get if we don't have any luck.

No Ony... but some other good news. Will post with photo's hopefully tonight XD

Oh another Aman'Thulian! Alliance side though I take it?

I've been doing runs for her too for my boyfriend. He'll be getting the first mount drop. (: But not recently, since I've been busy and I'm not level 90 yet. xD

Well the past week has been... a shock and amazing... I feel like my good luck run for mounts will come crashing back down now.

But firstly:

Saturday: Done my usual Ony run's with no luck, and my mount farming friend was on, so we headed off to do our usual two/three raids, starting with Tempest Keep. No Ashes. Ok, onto Maly. I kept saying, "I swear I have the itch that something will drop, keeps getting stronger". We had a joke about it, and we went off to Eye of Eternity.

Yeah, I couldn't believe that it finally dropped for him (I already had the Azure, and the blue, and he already had the blue as well) - so we were just going for Azure for him. Needless to say, to see both was outstanding. We rolled on the blue, just because neither of us wanted to leave the poor guy behind! He is now in my bags as a good luck charm

Then Saturday night, I was on vent with some friends of mine just mindlessly chatting away, and thought, meh, I should run Vortex more and get into a farming grind. So jumped on Soph, jumped into Shadow (with heal gear... like a baws!) and started farming through it. I honestly didn't even realise I had killed the boss or even really knew where I was in the instance, and as I was mid way through a sentance on vent:

".... yeah I know what you mean, I was once... OHMY*BLEEPING*GODGUYSI CAN'TBELIEVEITFINALLYDROPPED!!!" - thankfully I removed my finger off the push-to-talk button before I actually screamed.



Such a gorgeous creature. Now means I have the West, East and North drake. Next is figuring out a farming (or duo with my mount hunting friend) to get the South drake.



During the week, I had helped out another good friend of mine with some Kara runs, and we've been spending a lot of time together lately and he said he'd help me with some Blue Proto runs. Now, I can solo this place easily on my three higher level toons, Soph (90), my DK (90), my Paladin (85 - in Holy)... but he wanted to make it easier, and it's been awesome spending time with him. Funny story... half way down the run once you start the fight, I called out on Skype, "wait wait wait... you forgot something!". He stopped and asked what, and I said he owed me a good luck kiss - I got the good luck kiss and we continued.

No. kidding. look. what. dropped.



I couldn't believe it. So long farming this guy... MONTHS... over THREE toons EVERY DAY! Wow, it was total excitement and total relief as well XD

Now I realise I have no more "dungeon" mounts I can farm O.o - kind of an odd feeling.

But I'm starting to get the hang of solo'ing KT on my DK, so that will be another chance at him every week - nearly got him down the other night, but I was getting ported around the instance a lot, and ended up meeting KT in the Al'air middle room, which meant he ran all the way back to his room to do his up in the air thing, then back to the door to him and I ran out of time and he enraged... with literally 2% HP left >< So hopefully I'll get the placement issue down and I'll be fine without any porting around.

But I'm guessing I'm not going to see Ashes or Ony drop for a long time now... I also need to start working on the Al'Akir farm-stratergy and working learning how to fly on Alyz and solo her as a spriest... only ever healed that fight O.o

Oh I'm still running EoE with a friend who doesn't have the Azure (has the blue) still... are you Horde at all? I'm happy to like, add you to Battletag or something and if you're online when we run it then grab you just in case - last thing I'd want to see is if we run it and the Blue drops again or something when we both have it. And as you already have Azure there won't be a fight over that one.

Dunno, let me know what you think & I can PM you my battletag or something. I usually do my EoE's on the weekend with my friend when we're not at work, so yeah

I would love to, but I'm EU and you're US.

But it's actually alright at the moment. I can solo EoE but my fiance comes with me each week and if the Azure happens to drop again, he'll take it so it doesn't go to waste.

Oh jeeze, congrats! Mount crazy weeks are the best kind of RNG ever. Sadly I don't have any screenies of my crazy mount week, but that's why these threads are nice. Memories!

Oh yeah, I didn't see that Snowy lol - sorry about that. Good luck with him though, I do hope you get him soon! I think we've been lucky that we've seen 3 Azures in a row when that's all that people have needed - would have hurt to only see the Blue drop and not the Azure as well lol

& thanks Shade XD Although I feel now Ony will never be nice to me as I've had "too much lucky" the last two weeks lol
