I want to go pet searching too, but there are some areas in Azeroth that are still zoned locked, like Loch Modan, and flying into them, which I have found out the hard way, disconnects you and your character is lost as there is no way to reconnect on them. So before I go out what areas do I need to avoid and is there any way around them?

You may want to try cleaning out your cache and WTF on this. I haven't had problems on getting disconnected in locations in quite a long while. It's possible that you've got a 'bad file' somewhere.

Hmm, yeah as far as I know the zones that were causing issues were stabilized a couple builds ago, and I haven't experienced any problems since.
