Short Backstory: Skoll!

It was another fierce and stormy dusk in the peaks of Northrend. Nidryrr, my blue proto-drake, was visibly troubled by this weather and snorted in displeasure. Riding is always rough during the storms, with frequent lightning strikes, biting gales, and harsh winds. I was travelling to this particular mountain on the helpful tip of a passerby in the goblin town of K3, who claimed that he had spotted a strange translucent serpent in the area. In my experiences with magic, I could sense the arcane residue, and urged my drake to stop. Of my many pets, Fenrir was the hardiest in the Storm Peaks, with years of experience of living in such an environment. His tracking abilities rivaled my own, and this time was no different: the sabre-worg immediately picked up on some sort of trail. Suddenly, he stopped: his teeth bared, his hackles rising in discomfort. Fenrir sat paralyzed at the edge of the mountain, snarling and rearing back.

Before I could react, concentrated fingers of lightning shot down from the clouds, electrifying the wolf's body!

Instead of crying out in pain, Fenrir simply basked in this energy, letting it completely envelop his body, circling over and over every fibre of his being.

Sparks and tendrils of lightning zapped and flared all over the wolf in a spectacular display, leaving me dumbfounded.

The worg formerly known as Fenrir charged itself with energy as it quickly returned to my side, giving me a literal shock. If wolves could emit mischievous expressions, this one certainly did. Already I could tell that this beast's personality was different from what it had been mere minutes ago.
After returning to K3 with this newly reborn creature, I discovered that this was a rare, but documented, occurrence in the Storm Peaks. Both colonists and native Brunnhildar have stories of "lightning-worgs," but very few have been seen in thousands of years. Instead of mourning the "loss" of a pet, I am eager to see if all the legends are true - just what powers could this beast hold?
So, with many new tameables coming in 5.1, I figured it was time to clean my stable. One of the likely candidates for release was my mostly-unused wolf, Fenrir. I looked at my second Spirit Beast, Spark, and figured I could come up with a cheesy backstory to explain this in my character's "lore" by combining the two!
