Please keep those affected by Hurricane Sandy in your thoughts/prayers. May they all safely weather the storm.

Definitely! My raid leader and his family are in the path of it and hes asked me to lead the raid in case he can't, but of course we're getting some of it here in Ohio too so idk.
But everyone stay safe and don't do anything risky!

I'm in Ohio, too, Bonita. It sucks hardcore here, but I'm sure others are getting it so much worse. Definitely keeping those poor folks in my thoughts.

Oof, I'm glad I'm in mid Michigan. Most of the storms are dying over the Great Lakes.

So it's really not that bad for me in DC. Lights are flickering, but otherwise it's just gusty and wet. Supposed to get real bad though in the early hours.

It was windy as hell and the rain was falling sideways up here. Now the rain seems to have died down but it's still windy as heck. My roommate keeps get buzzes through the radio about blown transformers.
Personally..I can't believe we still have power.
Stay safe everyone!

I've been through two hurricanes in the last seven years (Rita and Ike) and the fun doesn't end when the storm passes. Stay safe, everybody.

Our powers went off a couple of times. I'm surprised its come back on because they haven't fixed the transformer above my house from the big windstorms over the summer. Plus all night its sounded like someones been banging on our screen door and my window. Can't sleep through the noise. Gah

All seems quiet in Maine. I live in Portland and didn't lose power with the windiness yesterday, but my boyfriend's parents the next town over supposedly did lose power for a few minutes and some parts NORTH of us also lost power. Which was strange.

Everything appears relatively calm. I dunno. I can't tell if it means the storms past or if we're in the eye or what. Probably the former. A bit of drizzle but nothing really extreme.

I'm in upstate NY on Lake Champlain and last year's storm, Irene, was far worse here. So far at 10AM on Oct.30, we have had very little rain and the wind hasn't gone over 20 mph. We were expecting much worse but it looks like we've pretty much dodged the bullet this time. It's currently 62 degrees here with no rain and an east wind at 8mph.

Just checked the damage outside... Tons of shingles missing off the roof and half my neighbors tree is being held up by the trees in our backyard. I'm trying to find someone to watch the dogs so I can go stay at my friend's house. This sucks we might get more winds today too. Could be worse I suppose....there is a big hole in the side of my neighbors house.
