Hey guys! I've been busy getting into all the new juicy MoP stuff, and a thought crossed my mind- I hadn't visited Petopia in quite a while! I had a good read through some threads and thought now is a good time to make a mount thread for myself xD! I thought of making one late Cata, but it was a bit too late by that point, as I didn't really have many mounts left to obtain ( mostly TCG stuff and raid rare drops.) But with all these new shiney mounts, it makes for a good time .

Now, I have quite a lot of images..before I start posting I have a concern about the screenshots coming out quite massive.. I'm sure this has been asked before , but is it possible to have the images come out smaller? ( I'm using imgur direct URL link to get them on here.) If not, is it bad to have tonnes of huge images? - Worried it could effect other's PC's if they take time to load things.

You could open up all the images in paint and resize them down to a more manageable size before uploading.

Alright here we go!

First up is the Yaks- I came by the vendor while leveling and just had to add them to my collection xD, I haven't made myself buy the Grand one yet though; but I'm sure I will one day xD. I love that wonky little walk they have!



Next up are the turtles- I'll only add one screenshot ( my fave one because he matches my little Drakeon!) - I of course bought the other 11. The turtles are quite a nice increase to the mount numbers xD. Oh, and that's my friend on the left, I came to visit him while he was fishing :3.


I loove the Azure Waterstrider, especially it's mountspecial!! I hadn't known about what it's mountspecial was like until I saw some one post a picture of it on here somewhere xD.


I was farming Onyx Eggs early this expansion and noticed someone with one of these clouds, I immediately checked WoWhead and discovered how I could obtain it so quickly!


Ahh I was so glad to have finally completed the Klaxxi dailies, I'm not sure exactly what it was about them that I didn't like, but they were my least favorite and most dreaded ones to do xD.


Cranes! It's really tough to choose which color I like best , they're all so good xD. I managed to get Golden Lotus exalted quite fast, as I spent a bit of time farming the Guo-Lai Cache Keys. I only farmed the keys until I hit revered though ( I really wanted to unlock Shado Pan and The August Celestials faster so I could get to there mounts .)




Goats :3 - I find the white one to be the cutest. I remember my friend saying he feels sorry for them, with all that rope tied on their mouths xD.






Serpents coming on the next post, as well as a few others

Finally hit exalted with the Shado Pan on Thursday and grabbed all 3 tigers, aswell as the Onyx Cloud Serpent <33! - Nice surprise occurred when handing in my final Shado Pan daily too...Turns out I was able to get the Realm first for Pandaren Ambassador! Wasn't expecting it at all xD, but I guess all that key farming I did to get mounts faster gave me a bonus hehe.






Reward for Pandaren Ambassador- the mountspecial for the kite is quite amusing, it sways side to side and then swirls around in a circle .


The 3 Order of the Cloud Serpents ( I raised the Azure one .)




Thundering August Cloud serpent! Just like Alani but yellow xD.


When I was still getting the serpent rep, a friend notified me that a Sunstone Panther was being sold in trade , so I decided to go for it xD. After a few weeks I decided to begin gathering mats for the other 3 ( to reduce costs as much as possible I farmed everything except for the Mysterious Orbs.) - So i basically ended up paying 18k for each one ( the orb) which was quite decent.

Final mount I have to show is the Thundering Ruby Cloud Serpent which I just obtained a few hours ago !!
After I had gotten 2 shards I decided it was time to start farming them, I dunno how I stayed sane doing that ; the only part where I lost hope and started to feel quite crazy was when i had 9 shards and struggled to find the 10th xD. the 10th of course..just had to take the longest using the statistics ' Creatures killed' , I checked how many mobs altogether I'd killed when I got the 9th, then checked again when I got the 10th - it ended up being nearly 3 thousand mobs in between that final one x.x.
The point where I was about to take a lunch break and wasn't expecting a shard at all, was when it dropped So I freaked out and got over excited . Was a bit scared of stuffing up the kill hehe, but I waited for Alani to come to my chosen spot ( over in the corner of vale where there is a pool of water in the mountains.) I chose here because it was out of the way of other players that may interfere xD ( there was a bug where others could take the tag, and even thought it's been hotfixed; I didn't want to risk it xD.)

I'm so happy to not have to farm the shards anymore, I really like the system of this world spawn mount drop; it's different from the others that we had to camp with NPCscan on xD.

I've always had trouble capturing lightning effects in screenshots ( Even with lightning in the sky xD) So I just spammed the button and hoped to get a lucky shot hehe .

Haha I do that as well. It looks so badass when you manage to grab an awesome looking shot with lightning in the background.

Hehe yeah, speaking of awesome, I discovered this!! I made this appearance happen by using the Aqua Jewel item ( from Sahn Tidehunter ) and then combining it with Kang's Bindstone ( from Kang the Soul Thief .)
I noticed one time it didn't work, and that time I had used the stone first instead of the jewel, not sure if that had anything to do with it though; I'll have to test it xD. But omg it'd be so cool to have a mount just like this in game! ( Reminds me a bit of the one that drops from the Sha of Anger.)

Hehe I wish , I've been using a coin on Sha each week for an extra shot at the mount xD..maybe one day..maybe one day :3

Currently farming Onyxia and Kael'thas weekly ( still since cata >.<)
Altogether on all my characters i now have 75 Onyxia kills, and 83 Kael'thas. ( I leveled my DK up to 90 a week or two ago to have an extra kill each week. I used to solo Kael 3 times a week at 85, on Kura, my DK and another hunter, although I never dared try Onyxia on my DK because of the flight phase hehe , would have taken ages; but it's very doable now at 90 so i'm happy xD.

I'm also thinking about purchasing / having another mount made as I've saved up some more gold. It's between the grand yak, onyx panther or one of the engineer ones, decisions decisions xD. Not sure whether to save up more or not though before i go spending again xD.

- I've decided to go for the Onyx Panther next xD, probably won't get it for about 2 weeks or so though ( I'm gathering all the mats myself to avoid as much cost as possible, that way I only have to spend gold on the Mysterious orbs. I did this for 3 of the other colored panthers, so I pretty much only payed 18k for each one which was quite good.
It'll be about 2 weeks of Living Steel transmutes ( depending on how many procs I get)..but it's tough to decide whether I should hold off a little longer because I've been using the steel for belt buckles to sell on the AH. I was thinking of waiting till they're prices dropped a bit more maybe so I don't miss out on too much monies xD.
