Let me start off by saying I had looked for this pet ever since they released him into the wild. I never saw him once, alive. I saw his body many times. I was in Sholazar Basin, looking for Loque'nahak. I had given up on Skoll for the day due to having found the corpse. While flying around, I ran into another hunter with an unusual pet name, can't remember it for the life of me. I chatted with him for abit, fly away, find loque, called him to me, and helped him tame it. This nets me a guild. About a month later, having risen to the rank of Adviser in the guild, I'm chatting with a fellow guildie about Skoll and how he found him a couple of days ago. Naturally I'm jealous of him.

He says he will help me find him. He flies off to Stormpeaks and I tell him not to bother since I was Surv/?? at the time and I only looked for nostalgia. Not 5 mins later I get a whisper from him "Found him". That's it. My heart starts beating insanely fast. I hope onto my Albino Drake and fly out to him. Start taming, an elemental gets into the mix, he takes care of it but auto attacks Skoll by mistake! Draws aggro and breaks the taming process. Well, his Skoll gets the idea to start beating on the wild skoll and takes him down to 75% health. I'm getting nervous cause he can't lose aggro, I freeze him, his pet breaks it, and this repeats with him trying to freeze it too. And mobs keep coming and throwing in their two cents.

Finally, after FIFTEEN Minutes of this, he manages to lose aggro, and I start taming. I look at my health and Im down to 15% health. I hurriedly break taming, freeze him, and then continue taming. Finally managed to get him tamed just as two other hunters show up. Skoll was at 10% health and I was at 5% health at the completion of the taming.

Best. Taming. Experience. EVER!!!!!!!

Geez, grats to you for beating the odds! I had a similar problem with a level 19 condor yesterday, rofl. I finally gave up and moved on to a level 18 condor who missed when he tried to swoop me.

But yeah, big grats! I've never seen him in the wild, either, and Elune knows I've been in the Storm Peaks countless times, flying over his spawn points whether intentionally or not. So many grats!

You just happened to be in Utgarde Keep that time when I saw & tamed Skoll at the cave in Snowdrift Plains... shame on you for not sticking around.

Whoa. Compared to that, my Skoll taming was a walk in the park!! >_< I had a close call with Gondria though... My friend had tagged her and she kept staying grey to me. He tried to run out to get her to reset but she wouldn't, and then suddenly she was red to me! Yay! So I fired a distracting shot at her to get aggro and saw EVADE in big letters as her health went back to 100% and she started zipping back to the spawn point which, as it happened, we were far from at this point. >_< I was so nervous as I mounted and went after her, but luckily nobody else was around and I got her. Lol. Hm. Still a walk in the park compared to your story. Hahah.
