Does anyone else think that the Symbiosis skill that hunters get is pretty lackluster?
70% speed boost is kind of eh in most situations that a hunter would get it, disengage is pretty much superior in every way, especially if you have talented in the speed buff there. Plus, disengage doesn't have a 3 minute cooldown.
I wish we got something cooler and more useful, like a self heal, or something more feral, like thrash, but instead of us using it, it'd make our pet use it (similar to how intimidate works, we use the skill, and it makes out pet use the skill on their next attack)
The skills druids get is somewhat lackluster as well, compared to what they get from other classes, but it's still good in certain situations. Iunno, I just feel like the Hunter/Druid Symbiosis is laughably bad compared to every other class's symbiosis...

Yeah I was pretty sad when I only got dash from it. Our Resto druid always puts it on me because he gets Deterrence from it and he loves it. He put it on our lock last night and I think our lock got Rejuvenation. I wanted that lol

yeah, I think pretty much every other class gets something more useful then us. Dash is pretty lackluster for us. I have that lilypad item drop from one of the rares that activates Symbiosis on my hunter, and yeah...never found a use for Dash yet.

THIS IS USELESS.
I mean, I wouldn't complain if it was a shorter cooldown... but even then it's useless ;-;
Only thing it's good for is walking around inside Twomoons/Sevenstars...

More useful for PvP than PvE, but still not entirely useless. Could possibly stand an upgrade in utility, but it's not completely without use.

I don't think it useless myself, merely very situational. There are a few boss fights where being able to move quickly and with finesse is a huge asset (Firelands Ragnaros comes to mind as an example), or when a mechanic pops up that you weren't expecting and need to get out of there right away. Yes, you can get a similar effect with a talented disengage, but not all hunters have that. And even if you do have Posthaste, having another emergency get-the-fel-out-of-there button isn't a bad thing to have in case, again, something unexpected happens and you need to get your arse out of whatever fire you happen to be standing in.
More useful things out there? Perhaps, but I still say that there will be times where that speed boost will save your life.

Still funny to watch a druid feign death in their shapeshifted forms. XD

I've seen a hunter use it on the Feng fight.

I always use it with Post haste + Deterrance + engineer enchant at belt (speed boost), this saved me a lot already xD

We can go waaaaaaay faster then a mount in PvP with this O_O

It's still only very highly situational. I tell our druid to give it to the tanks because it's way better for them then us. Couldn't they have given us maybe something like a moonfire that costs focus or perhaps a feral druid skill that works like Kill Command and has our pet preform the skill? Symbiosis requires some major re balancing for sure.
