Trackoholics Anomymous

Hello. My name is Kurasu, and I'm a trackoholic.

It all started when I was just level 86. I was wandering the Kun-Lai peaks, too early for that level, but I'm a pet battler; I had to come through in order to be able to pick up my achievements. I was collecting the flight points and exploring a bit, so I wouldn't have to walk back to Jade Forest, when suddenly I found a couple tracks in the snow. Now, I knew that they existed, but other than a brief pass of Bloody Tracks all of once, I didn't think much of it. So I followed them. Through the mountains, up and down, until I was finally able to come to the end and flare out Stompy. And... that was all I could do. He was too high level to tame, but I had found him. And it felt good.

Come level 87, I already knew I wanted Patranache. It was well over a day of searching, but I finally managed to get lucky, find his tracks, and tame. At 90, it was Portent. And then, after seeing someone with Hexpos, I fell in love with the color and tracked him down. After that point, I had tamed everything I wanted to tame. I thought it was over.

... it wasn't. Because as I journeyed through Kun-Lai, cleaning up old quests, I happened to find Stompy's tracks again. I considered running past, but something within me wanted me to keep going. To follow them until I had located him. And I did, and housed him with a nice hunter.

Since then, it has gotten worse. I have rehomed three Portents (two greens and a purple), one Hexapos, and two Stompys. I have attempted, and finally failed when I lost the trail completely, to track Glimmer. I can't pass by an area without giving a quick check around for tracks. And if I happen to come across tracks, I can't resist following them to their penultimate point and flaring out the beast.

Ha, I got that out of my system on the beta. ;) Being on a low population server on live means that I don't get to rehome anyone often, so I have stopped tracking so much. Still, whenever I do spot a track, I announce it to my completely indifferent friends/guildies....because I have to. I mean, it's completely hilarious that Bristlespine walked directly through our Sha of Anger raid, right? ;)

Hi Kurasu!

Hi, my name is Junrei and I love to track down rares. *waves*

Rehomed Portent 10 times. I constantly check if he's up. Rehomed Savage twice and Hexapos twice.

I do the same thing. I have found many a hunter to help in tracking down all of the rares. I own each one (aside the porcupine, don't care for his color, and grimmer for same)

Last night I followed Portant (green) for three hours trying to find someone who wanted him, to no luck. Even saw other hunters run by his tracks with no care or interest. That sadly is also true for many of the other rares on my server. They can be up for hours on end with no one to tame them.

Hi My name is Makoes, and I am a trackoholic. Everytime I find tracks I MUST follow them and find who made them, even though I have no intentions/room to tame who's at the end. i have rehomed many of these beasties, to guildies or random hunters that showed interest. Sometimes I find myself purposely looking for tracks, even though i really should be doing more productive things, but still...must find tracks!
