How to get a White Yak Mount - Temporary

Not sure if this is known, but I thought I'd share. Wasn't sure where exactly to put it either.
While doing some Archaeology in Kun-Lai near the Yak Wash quest hub.. I thought, "Hey.. I wonder what would happen if I ran through on one of the real yak mounts."
So I tried.
To my surprise, it actually worked. Both the Blonde and Gray Yak were turned White after running them through the Yak Wash. Unfortunately, once dismounted it will lose the white look and go back to being normal Blonde/Gray.

I wonder if it will do the same to the Grand Expedition Yak. I don't have one to test it on and don't want to drop that kind of gold on one to test, lol.

If you *do* have that kind of gold, though, you could copy your toon to the ptr and test there. I don't have enough to try it. But hopefully someone here already has it and can check.

Bah.. I don't have the PTR installed anymore. I'd have to re-download/install the PTR, do some character swapping to pass gold to my main, then do a character copy. Hopefully someone here has it and can answer the call of curiosity. Don't think anyone in my guild has it, or I'd use them to test for me.

Unfortunately the Expedition Yak is on my lower priority for goldsinky mounts...
This is a really neat little find. The white yak mounts have such pretty-colored dressing!

Regarding Grand Expedition Yak, it does NOT change color going through the wash. I went out and tested it right now on live and my Blonde Yak turned white (yay) but the Expedition Yak did not change at all.

Yeah the expedition yak last I checked only has the blonde skin available to it. But man that's really cool!
