Hi everyone!

I have been meaning to ask this question for ages and have only just got around to typing this.

Is anyone able to tell me what the differences are between the 2 "yellow" skins?

http://wow-petopia.com/look/windserpentskinorange.html appear to look the same and yet they are listed separately.

Is this just an oversight? Or is there something I'm not seeing?

One is darker and more detailed while the other is slightly lighter and a bit more "flat" looking.


The first is the slightly more detailed (like a sharpened filter has been applied to it) and the second is the slightly more "blurred" one. The differences are very subtle, like with many of these types of pets.

Edit: the colors are a bit darker on the first one (namely the green accents) and a bit brighter on the second one.

Wow! I thought I was pretty good at picking up on subtle differences but even as I look at the two side by side and concentrate, I can't definitively identify those difference

Maybe time for some glasses for me!

It took me a long time to be able how to tell the differences between these kinds of pets apart.

Think I might pay a visit to Wailing Caverns and compare my Hakkari Sapper to see if I can tell the differences "in the flesh".

Yeah, there's a few pet skins that seem to have really minute differences like that. Easiest way to see them is to get screenshots from WMV in the same pose them flip between them rapidly.

Good idea Veph! Hadn't thought of that.

OK. Model Viewer was the answer. I can see the difference when switching between the 2 skins. The difference is so small you wouldn't be able to tell if you saw them next to each other in game. However, the one thing that stands out is the eye. One of the skins has a white reflection on the pupil, the other is solid black.
