... because there was this feeling that I'll get Acroniss. Sure I know that I said I won't get him anymore but I was trying for a new approach. The proper approach.

The approach was to befriend whoever was around. And it paid off. One hunter left and wished me luck. While the other just watched as I tame. I was even congratulated afterwards.

I went to fly back to Pandaria and finish some of my dailies. Then I got a whisper from a hunter I helped out a long time ago. He was asking if I wanted Bombyx. My plan was to get Bombyx during the holidays but I was really amazed by how things were falling into place. I rushed to Krasarang Wilds.

Within an hour, I got both Acroniss and Bombyx. Absolutely no conflict happened. It's perfectly how we've always wished taming should always be...

...and the hunter in the cave? I heard he got Acroniss 4 hours later. Properly.

Congrats! I want the red, but I've given up all hope of ever getting him.

Every time I go into that cave, there are at least two other hunters, but usually there are more like 5-7 there these days. So not worth it!

This is similar to how I acquired Acroniss too. I befriended the two hunters around me. One was logging in on the hour and half hour hoping to spot him, and the other was just flat out camping but had arrived after I did.

When Acroniss spawned, it was a level 50ish priest who initially aggro'd - causing me to blind panic thinking he was going to kill it. But he bubbled and the other hunter (who also wanted the pet) said 'Follow Me' and ran away down the area, killing a clear path for the priest to follow.

Acroniss soon came slithering back where I was free to tame him without issue. The other hunter congratulated me, and logged off, and I - being a good player *halo* - waited for the hunter who was logged out to come back so I could tell him the tame time.


It really pays off to be friendly rather than a jerk. Karma likes you better.

Congratulations on your tame, Anj! I'm glad that you didn't follow through on your strike; I'm sure that after taming Acroniss, the feeling of satisfaction was more than worth it.
