WoW Petopia Community

When I started work this week, I decided to sneak in some minutes to come up with a document that's about every single rare or rare elite beasts hunters can tame. It will include location spawns as to where to find them and what their respawn ETA is. However, there are some info I couldn't find for some of the beasts, which means when I get to a much higher level, I'll do some real outdoor researching to complete the information. I have not included the spirit beasts, at least, not yet because Loque's spawn points has me baffled (I am not going there at level 20 to find out). I am not finished with the list yet; I've only finished the small list for rare crocks.

If it's all right with you, once it's finished, I'd like to have it posted so people can search for rares that they never knew ever existed and not have to go for the very obvious. I dunno why I'm tempted to have the information put in a web page.

But, a different type of resource could be useful too, if you do it right.

Upon which when you pick one, you can click it, and search it on a database site (wowhead, thotbot, allakhazam) and find where it spawns...

But having all the data at one sight would be kinda cool.

You can make out a plan to visit ALL the rares in each expansion, making sure it never backtracks and it's 100% efficient.

As in take screenshots or capture a video using Fraps when I find each of these rares in the wild?

Well, Wowhead and Thottbot already have that...the screenshot part. And where I got the info for the respawn ETA is from somebody that has made comments about the rares' respawn from the WoW Atlas. He didn't do that with all of them though.

Well, I was meaning more use the rare database to make a route on the map that would cover all the rares' spots.

Kamoodle, I think it's a good idea. Having one "document" that lists rares all together at a glance by level suits how my mind works. I've thought of doing something like that too. Sort of a bestiary of rares.
The search function here is a great resource and I'm happy to have it, but I end up with half a million tabs open and get confused.

Well, I have been using the sources of Petopia, Wowhead, and Thottbot to come up with information I'm "borrowing", so it would be a theft for someone else that has finished this up a long time ago as opposed to my recent work.

I'll finish my document up tomorrow but I somewhat already abandoned the idea. From Ryno's suggestion, what I think might be better is, since I have Fraps, record where these rares are likely to spawn according to Wowhead. I am not 100% sure if that's what she means though. I'm a bit confused.

There iss a rare Zhevra in the barrens and since they will be tameable I'd like more info on it I've only seen it once. It was beautiful running around really fast seeming to have more red than most,but it might have had just a normal skin.

Its an idea tho to find rares that might be tameable someday and document those.

I've seen him. In fact, a long time ago, on my epic mount, I would be able to barely outrun him. It was fun to chase him around.

Swiftmane is slightly whiter than the other zhevras.

There was another rare I read (one of those crystal-blue spiders) that's a rare elite, I think, but he's not tamable.

It's ok, I wasn't sure either. It's Ryno's goal in life to leave everyone confused and feeling slightly violated.

How do you know the Zhevra will be tamale? Are you an insider? Was something posted and I'm unaware of it?

I think he took it from a really old blizzard quote where they said new things, like Zhevras, would be tameable. I highly doubt it.
