Trackable Rare finding

So today I came across Portant's tracks and found it was a color I already had, so I marked him up and checked /who to see if any other hunter's in the area wanted him. I quickly found one who did and got her to the spot.
Now I'd heard that once one hunter marked them with Hunter's Mark it became visible for all to see, but it seems that they've changed it! The new hunter couldn't see him without flaring and marking him herself!
So if any other hunters are trying to rehome the trackables and they are having problems finding them after you've marked that could be why ^_^

only others in your party can see your marked target. its always been that way the flare reveals them to EVERYONE however.

See that's what I thought too. But she couldn't see him when I flared or marked him even though we were in the same party.

i think pre existing hunters marks dont let new party members see em. unless you also reapplied it after the party was formed.

In my experience, hunter's mark has always ever revealed the pet to the hunter, not the party.

Same, Hunter's mark reveals it to the caster, but a flare reveals it to everyone. Generally for helping hunters, I will flare the beast, mark it then follow along until the tamer comes, then wait till they are ready and flare ahead of the beast to give the other hunter enough time to mark/tame.
