There are some really difficult pet tamers out there. Let's put our heads together to counter them.

Feel free to offer strategies that work for you or come here for advice with a tamer that's troubling you.

Okay...first spirit tamer...it's the Earth guy...how can I go against him?
My only 25s are Lil Deathwing, Ethereal Soul Trader, and Nether Fae Dragon. I'm training my Cinder Kitten though.

@ImmaGoku: I've been focusing on self-healing pets rather than team-healing pets myself, so I can't speak for the latter. My Strand Crab's been wonderfully tanky on her own, as has my Dun Morogh Cub.
@Junrei: My usual team against the Thundering Spirit is Strand Crab (aquatic vs. elemental), Dun Morogh Cub (beast vs. critter), and Tranquil Mechanical Yeti (mechanical vs. beast). All three families do more damage to his team, which gives me an edge. Unfortunately, your current team offers you neither buffs nor mitigation against his lineup. At least you'd probably fare better with that team against the Fire Spirit, since he runs with a dragonkin and a flying pet. In the meantime, I'd recommend branching into aquatic, beast, and mechanical familes.
The Water Waveling is a must, as far as I'm concerned, for the blasted Whispering Spirit. It's wonderful being able to counter that flying damage elemental with an aquatic damage elemental.

I don't have any lvl 25's yet, but I have a few in the 20's. I will have to come back to this thread, when I do.

For the Thundering Pandaren Spirit, I use Arctic Fox Kit, Gazelle Fawn and Tranquil Mechanical Yeti.
- Fox Kit for the slime and for the speed buff and Howl. Keep him alive though, as his speed buff will be vital against the mole!
- Gazelle Fawn to counter the elemental - by keeping Tranquility up and using Bleat on cooldown, the elemental has nothing on this guy. But it's his family that makes or breaks the deal, as as a critter he's weak to elemental attacks AND immune to any stuns this particular elemental throws at it.
- Tranquil Mechanical Yeti for the mole. With Dazzling Dance, the Yeti will be faster, which I've found to make a HUGE difference.

Not to shamelessly plug my own blog or anything but I made a post on my blog detailing my strats for the new trainers. Hope this helps someone!

Yeah seems I'll need to level an elemental type and probably an aquatic and mechanical(though my golden dragon hatchling has one mechanical move....the stormy weather or something but he's a dragonkin so it likely doesn't matter)

Yeah, I've actually stopped using call lightning except as a nuke at the end, simply because it ends up killing my pets too. Environment effects are such a pain like that. :/ You'll definitely want a pet with multiple mechanical moves, though. Sometimes a pet's skillset is weaker than it should be, like Peddlefeet's - I'll have to level another humanoid with humanoid abilities due to him being a bit weak (if I stun an opponent, they generally just swap on me, so I might as well use a root instead).

Yeah. Call storm seems to be one of those double edged swords. It's a good nuke but you gotta be very careful when you use it.
Damn me and my love for the dragons! ;-; Nether Fae Dragon is cool but he's...kinda weak. Lil DW is a nuke machine so if you got one, I highly recommend leveling him if you want Elementium Bolt to one shot something. XD

I unfortunately don't have Lil' DW myself, but have faced him in pet duels - he's a beast. D:
I'm actually loving my green proto drake's heal+hp buff. And my wild golden hatchling is a pretty hard nuker, though somewhat fragile in some ways. I think the red one has a better skill distribution, but I've only leveled the yellow because of favoritism she is my mount's baby RP.

If Cata didn't miss so much, he'd be unbeatable. He makes leveling other pets pretty easy too. Nanaki(Cinder Kitten) is level 17 already.
Dont think I got the green proto one. :O Sadly my red, green, and azure are poor/commons while the Gold is a rare(Got that just today...huzzah!)

I haven't got even close to the lvl25 tamers, my own highest being lvl21 or so, but I have a good feeling about Magical Crawdad. It's water-type, with water and beast attacks, but what's best in him is his enormous hp coupled with his survival skills. On 2nd slot he's got a choice of either a hot that persists pet swaps (good for healing other pets), or a shell for himself (better if you want to him himself take less damage - it completely absorbs most dots and makes multi-strike attacks barely tickle him).

Yeah, went up against one once....it was brutal. Got steamrolled due to that one pet.

Kalle, can you recommend any good mecha and aqua pets? I dont have many of those.
I'm considering Chuck cause of his undead ability. Can be handy. And maybe....Cogblade Raptor or Fluxfire Feline or Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling

My favorite mechanical for the Thundering Spirit is the Darkmoon Zeppelin. It's easy to get and works fantastic against the mole. This is how the battle plays out, move for move, assuming you have NO speed boost on the zeppelin:
Mole casts stoneskin and Zeppelin casts decoy
Mole casts burrow and Zeppelin casts missile (it won't hit)
Mole casts stone rush (which takes out 1 decoy) and Zeppelin casts bombing run
Mole casts stone rush again (takes out second decoy) and Zeppelin casts missile
Mole casts stone rush again (you will have to eat this hit) and Zeppelin casts missile
Repeat the above steps again until the mole dies. Even if the mole kills the zeppelin, because it is mechanical it will come back with a few hundred health.

My favorite mechanical so far has been the Clockwork Gnome, my "Battle Butler". Of course, I was using him before 5.1 "fixed" his turrets; before, they'd hit the enemy regardless of invulnerable phases, and it was *awesome*. Alas. He's still pretty good as a bulky type with Repair ability and Turrets whittling down health.

I keep telling myself to level another mechanical pet, but in the end, I keep relying on my Tranquil Mechanical Yeti. Supercharge plus Metal Fist/Call Lightning has one-shotted beasts before, hitting for almost 2k the last time I used the combo! The trouble with him is that he's all offense and no defense - plus his blizzard ability does more damage to mechanical pets, so I never use it....it's an odd choice. The Clockwork Gnome seems to be a popular choice, so that's another solid recommendation you've got from Neilaren right there.

Peanutbuttercup's suggestion of the Darkmoon Tonk is also a solid one; I really like that skillset and I've also heard other players have good things to say about it.
Aquatic pets have a really fantastic range that I've seen; several are built to tank and/or heal and others can really pump out some massive damage (see what I did there?). Chuck is a good choice for having non-aquatic abilities as well - I just leveled Snarly last night myself for Blood in the Water. I definitely recommend a crab for a tank/healer type; my Strand Crab went from being a random rare tame in STV to being one of my main trio. Turtles in general are an interesting sub-family for aquatic pets; they have varying skillsets (some focus more on aquatic abilities - like Pump - and others have strong non-family abilities, like Poewrball) and are definitely a favorite choice of mine. My only leveled turtle at the moment is my Spiny Terrapin, who has Powerball and such; I'd like to level up my Wanderer's Festival Hatchling for access to Pump or Cleansing Rain. I intend to level my Emerald Turtle as well, but that's a direct swap on the Spiny Terrapin who is only uncommon quality. Frogs and toads are also good choices; Cleansing Rain and Frog's Kiss are useful abilities. The fish appear to have a strong skillset as well. Oh, and if you have a Magical Crawdad, Wish is an incredibly powerful ability. x_x
TL;DR: You have a LOT of good options in the aquatic pets department.
And for a mechanical pet with aquatic abilities, there's always the Lifelike Mechanical Toad, though I'm not sure how effective it is in battle.

Unfortunately I dont have either of those Mechanical buggers. I just caught a mechanical Raptor, uncommon
